13/m I know I'm going through puberty. I just know it. I'm starting to feel the true emotions (love, rejection, jealousy, etc), and I'm starting to be cleverer (I'm starting to beat my dad at chess, which I haven't done for 8 years.) But despite these mental changes, I'm still physically the same. I mean, sure, I've started to get erections, but it's not like I'm showing that off at school! It's really annoying, how I have the highest voice in the school, and I'm the shortest guy in all my classes. Facial hair, I really don't give a damn, but now a few people think my high voice is annoying, and it annoys me too, and also my parents don't believe that I'm in love because I haven't shown any physical signs of puberty, and thusly I can't have had any mental either. What should I do? (Note: Smartasses get 1s and WILL be reported)

As for your 'mental capabilities' I dont think that has anything to do with puberty, I think it's more like, you're finally to the point now where you're not an idiot, and now can have a better understanding of things. Or not. If you dont want to believe me, whatever, I get that a lot. Although, I've never heard you get more clever when going through puberty, nor smarter.
Oh, another thing, that "love" you're feeling isn't love. It's something teens get mixed up about a lot. You see, they think like really really love someone, matter of fact, they'd take it to their grave. Too bad they're wrong; it's something called 'infatutaion'
Get used to the word and remember it when you're dating. You may think you love that person you're making out with, but 5 months later you'll have no feelings for her mainly because you're now broke up. If teens could understand love, why are they breaking up with each other a couple months into a relationship? I haven't seen many relationships go on for over 8 months, have you? (anyone over the age of 18 doesn't count either) I dont expect to see many relationships go further than that until people start reaching older ages.

Mate, I know what love is, and I know what infatuation is. I've felt infatuation. I've felt love. If I didn't think I was truly in love, would I ask about it? On a sidenote, if smartasses already get 1s and don't care if they get reported, why bother advicenating? It's a waste of everyone's time.
