Hi, I have been talking to this guy online.....I really like him..he asked me out and I said yes. DOnt worry I have no intentions on meeting him anytime soon.But i dont know if I should tell my friends about him because they think talking to people online that you dont know is wrong..and i know they will probably get mad at me and think I am crazy. He has sent me a picture...but should I trust him that its actually him? And whats your opinion on online dating?
What should I do??

online dating is a bad idea. it doesn't matter how nice the person is or how much you like them. YOU CAN NEVER COMPLETELY TRUST THEM. this is a bad idea to me. the only time it is okay with me to meet people you talk to online is if it is someone you know indirectly...like your friend's friend from camp..or your friend's cousin..or your cousin's best friend. something like that. otherwise..it's a very bad idea. my neighbor was abducted by a man she met online..fortunately she survived because she had a friend come along but hide so that he didn't know she was watching. her friend was able to identify the man and his car. unfortunately..she was raped, but thank goodness she wasn't killed. =/. bad idea.
