Q: I'm thinking about buying a Lacoste on ebay..for those of you who don't know what it is, it's a really expensive polo retailing for $72-$79 in stores like Saks, Nordstroms, etc..The problem is, I don't want to get scammed and be sold a fake one. How do I know if it's real? The one I am currently bidding on has a $0.99 starting bid. The seller states that it has two mother of pearl buttons. She has a feedback of 99.7%. Is this a scam? How do I spot the real ones?

It probably is genuine, most sellers start their bidding price VERY low (like $.01) because they know it will go up a lot in price. If she has a feedback rating of 99.7% then she has been an exceptional seller (unless she has only sold a few things), usually you can go through their feedback too and see what people were unhappy with.
EDIT: Make sure you watch the shipping & handling price, many times people are charging way too much to make sure they get what the item is worth. If you have any more questions, just send me a note.
