Q: Hey, I'm 14 and I'm trying to search information on the internet about majoring in Criminal Justice. I wanna find out how long its gonna take, and what are the steps to reach my goal. I searched online, but all I'm finding is how to get your degree online. But thats not what I'm looking for. If any of you have family members that are cops, or detectives can you please answer my questions. I want to be a detective really bad!

1. How long does it take?
2. Do you have to be a cop before being a detective? If so, for how long?
3. Do I go to a certain college to major in criminal justice or should I go to a 4 year university?
