hey! I was wondering if anyone had a dance team at their middle school. 3 of my friends and I are starting one this year and are sort of like the coaches/captins cuz we have to make up the dances, do tryouts and all that. We didnt know how much we would really do with the dance team though cuz all the other teams at our school are just cheerleading (they cheer during the games and go to competition), baseball, soccer, and basketball. We knew we would try to go to competition, but if thats only a couple times during the year or whatever what else would we do? (link)

Alot of teams have things called pom pom squads. That's basically a dance team that does stuff as school assemblies and pep rallies. You have the option of going to competition but it's most likely going to happen that your school will want you to either find a sponsor or raise the money yourselves to go. You'll need money for a bus to get there and back, uniforms, and chaparones (unless they're voulenteers). This should take alot of hard work. But good luck!
