advice

I'm 16 & i admit, im currently head over heels with my best guy friend. He's loyal, truthful, funny, sweet, intelligent, gives me attention, flirts with me, & he's luckily single (actually-- neither of us have ever had a significant other.. which would suprise lots of people because -not to sound concieted- we're well liked & just plain good people.. and he for one is a GOOD catch) Anyways, we're kind of stuck in a rut. I am almost positive that he likes me, and i definately like him. Maybe like isnt even the word.. cause its stronger than that. But neither of us will make the first move. I know for a fact that both of us have gone through a situation where we do try to make the first move with another person & it ends up in crap. So im afraid we're both too scared to take the initiative. I'm trying to ease my way into it.. taking baby steps & making subtle comments & trying to make him comfortable to make the first move himself. Any of you ever been in a situation like this?? Please help me.. i dont want to lose him & regret not taking my chance!! :o\
