I agree with pretty much everything you said. Anyone involved with this is at fault. The problem with him not hanging out with this bad crowd is that there is about 120 people in our high school, this is basically the only crowd to hang out with. Also, the parents know about it. Half of them don't even care about it, the other half has given up on trying to stop them.

Thanks. I broke my wrist during football season, so I'm doing cross country, which should help endurance some (but like I mentioned, I ran the other one after a three-hour football practice in 100 degree heat). Track isn't for like another five months, but I know I'll have to work hard the entire time to make varsity (our coaches don't really like putting freshman on varsity). I'll keep trying and hopefully I'll make it. Thanks again.
