I have a 10 gallon tank and I have 6 fish. Little ones. I know that the perfect temperature to have in the tank is 74/76 degrees. Right now, since it's so hot where I am, it's up to 80. I've tried everything to get the temperature to go down to normal, icecubes, removing warm water and adding cold. The temperature will go down for a few minutes then it just shoots right back up! I have two questions: 1) Does anyone have any other ideas on keeping the tank cool other than what I've been trying? and 2) Is 80 degrees DANGEROUSLY high for my fish? They are regular fresh water tropical fish. I have 2 Neon Tetras, an Angelfish, a Honey Gourami and 2 Zebra Danios, if that helps any. Thanks in advance! (link)

Maybe you could just surround it with bags of ice. If 74/76 is the prefect temperature then 80 shouldn't be dangerous in any way but then again I don't know for sure.

Well if the two are similar then that could possibly happen again. I suppose you could try to be more aggressive this time around so you could gauge how she feels. Maybe the first girl just wasn't feelin you.
