There is this boy that REALLY REALLY likes me. he told me if i asked him out he would dump whoever he is dating. he has asked me out about 4times this year. i kept putting him down. hes cute, hes nice, but hes kind of a dork. im scared to date him cause all my freinds would laugh. and the fact that hes kind of obsessed. he calls me all the time and writes me songs. i dont know what to do i like him but i dont want to date him. and one time i told him i would go out with him to try it out, and instead of thinking at night "im so happy" i thought "do i really want this?" and so i broke up with him the next day. i felt so bad. cause hekissed me. and he said "i might as well kill myslef if i cant have you. your the only one i truley want" andi feel so bad. how can i help him get over me? i want to be his freind. but when im his freind he thinks my flirting. gawd im so confused (link)

i am confused too. this sounds like me about a couple months ago. i was so torn from this girl i used to be with, i knew that the only thing i wanted was her and without her my life would be over. it took a lot of anti-depresents and a couple suicide threats for me to realize my life wasnt over. i loved that person so much and then i realized that it was over and there was no use crying over it.
dont give up on him so quickly. if you go into things with him having a bad attitude then it wont be enjoyable trying anything with him. just give yourself time you never know if he turns out to be the guy that you fall in love with.
