Is Phantom Planet the original artist of "California", or did they just remake it

Phantom Planet is the original artist. However, it is often wrongly refered to as a cover. Wikipedia explains why...
Al Jolson and his songwriting team are co-credited for "California", presumably because the title and chorus come dangerously close to his own "California, Here I Come". Some websites even (inaccurately) refer to the Phantom Planet song as a cover of the Jolson tune. Some parts of the song, particularly the piano solos at the beginning and end, are similar to the Jolson song, but still contain several differences in melody. The song was rerecorded in 2005 by Phantom Planet and re-released as "California 2005", a much mellower version of the song than the original.

Every day i have discharge, and i've went and got medications to get rid of it. I think its a UTI or a bladder infection but i'm not sure. I tried to take pills to get rid of it but i can't swallow them. I've had this discharge for years, and when me and my boyfriend get done having sex some of it sticks to his private area. He doesn't seem to mind it much, but i feel terrible about it. I just want it to go away, but it won't. I take a shower almost everyday, and i'm a clean person. Any advice? (link)

You don't really have discharge with a UTI. It's more of a horrible burning when you go pee and there may be blood in your urine. It could be a yeast infection or a bacterial infection. They are similar so the only way to really know is to have the discharge tested. If you have been tested and treated for something, but it keeps coming back, your boyfriend may need to be treated as well. Some times you can get rid of an infection and then the next time you have sex, you get it back from your partner. Men don't usually show any symptoms, they are just the carriers. Is there any odd smell to the discharge? Or does it hurt at all when you have sex? Those are both good ways to tell that there is an infection. Also, remember that all woman have a little discharge and that doesn't mean anything is wrong. It should always be a bit moist down there and you'd probably be ever more uncomfortable if you were really dry. I'd say the best thing to do is see a gynecologist. That is the only way to really find out what it is.

I am looking for a fleece blanket. It has two pockets for your feet on the underside at the bottom. It also has a small pocket on the outside for a remote control. So i saw this music video first on the n. After a show ended and it was by this band. What happened in the video from what i can remember is their was a guy and he was walking through a playground and when he passed the playground,the trees and stuff would like turn into gray ash or something. i think the video had to do with some relationship. I am currently on Amoxicillan (very mild antibiotic) and i have to take it every eight hours. i took my last dose at 4:45 pm and now it is 12 midnight. is it alright for me to take it a little bit earlier?? (link)

Taking an antibiotic a little early or late is fine. You may want to just take it with a little food or a glass of milk so you don't get an upset stomach.

Ok, for science class, we have to present a visual presentation about global warming. Almost EVERY one is doing a power point or a video, so I figured i'd try something more fun and different. I like to draw, especially cartoons, so I thought i'd draw a cartoon strip of some sort that is cute, funny, but still gets my point across, about global warming. Any ideas? You can get into depth if you want, or not. I'm just stuck here lol. And it HAS to be appropriate for the classroom ;] thanks! :D (link)

Maybe you could have a couple different single cell comics (like Gary Larson does). A few ideas...
Have a couple sitting on their deck in front of the ocean talking about how great there new ocean view is. In the background have a sign that says "Welcome to Vermont." This will illustrate the effects of the ocean rising.
You could have Polar Bears or penguins sitting in a tropical rain forest drinking fruity drinks (because the polar ice caps have melted).
Or maybe you could show Santa sitting in shorts and a Hawaiian shirt saying "Global Warming? No complaints from me!"

There is this young lady that I am in love with and i think that she has something for me. We have stopped speaking mayby 4 times but each time we found each other. when I am out and around I can see her looking at me or when we step into a room no matter where or how many people we always spot each other. Lately thing have been rough between us.. I was talking to her and somehow no matter how hard I try someone is always around do not like that too much any.. This morning I sent the Good morning email and she responded. I don't think you should take this personally. It seems like she was just having a bad day and wanted to be left alone. If she was upset with you, I don't think she would bother saying "I don't want to upset you, but..." She would probably have ignored your email or been more rude about it. Give the girl some space and let her work though her bad day. Then, tomorrow or the next day, ask her if she is feeling better and let her know that you are there if she needs to talk. Leave it at that though. She might not want to get into it. We all need some space some times. Good luck.

sometimes movie theaters give out free posters for a particular movie. does anyone know if there is a pattern to this? if i wanted a poster of this movie that is coming out, how would i know when they will be giving them out in the movie theater? what if i wanted a movie poster of a recent movie that is already out? or can you only get posters that just came out on the same day or the newest movie or something? I used to work at a movie theater and we had a list where we could sign up to get movie posters. It was hard to get the good ones because someone usually already had dibs on it. You can try asking someone at a theater, but you might have better luck looking on the internet. I've seen many on ebay.

I have severe nose descongestion since forever. I used this nasal spray containing HCL or w/e and some doctor told me not to use it any longer as it is harmful but I cannot breathe without it when I am trying to sleep. Now I am sick and I have to keep waking up every 3 hours to spray some more of the stuff into my nostrils even though it is not a good idea to use it for more than 3 days as it says behind the bottle. I don't even know what that means. Does anyone have a similar problem and a solution to nasal decongestion? (link)

There is a Germansville, PA, but his house is probably in Germantown, NY. It is right along the Hudson River about 1 hour south of Albany, NY.
