I was filling out college applications and I finally was able to send a few in.
I noticed yesterday that on one of the applications I made a typo on my Social Security Number. For example, say my SS# was 123456789, I had accidentally typed 123457689.
Is this something I should rectify immediately or wait until whether or not I get accepted and choose to go there. I already know that if I get accepted then that is the college I'm choosing.
If I should do this now then how should I contact them to let them know? Should I do it through e-mail, phone call, in person? The college is about 2 hours away so it would be really hard to get up there and speak with somebody...
Anyway, I was wondering what I should do and if I should take action now or wait until I find out about being accepted... (link)

Get in touch with the admissions department at the school you applied to. I would just explain the situation and ask what the best course of action would be. It isn't a big deal, really. If anything it will just slow down the acceptance process, but I'm sure it is something that can be handled with relative ease.

my mom will usually get on to me for picking out high inch heels, and no strappless shirts, i keep telling her no, im in the 6th grade, but i cant get through to her that i am not 2 anymore. what should i do? (link)

Respect your mother's judgment. Being as I am older, I can say that a 12 year old in high heels and strapless shirts is not appealing. Be happy being young and living without responsibility. Go outside, get dirty, play with barbies for crying out loud. Before you know it, you will be an adult and you will wish with everything in you that you could go back to when you were 12 when life was much simpler. So enjoy it now. You have plenty of time to dress in heels and halter tops when you are in high school or college. For now enjoy being a kid. You may not be 2 anymore but 12 hardly qualifies you as an adult.

No offense, but that isn't even relevant to the definition of leadership.
Try something along the lines of "Leadership is like a bright light that attracts insects. You don't know why you are drawn to it, but you are."
Quirky, but it makes a hell of a lot more sense.

sorry it is a bit long but please read it! thank you! im reading this book the great gatsby in my english class. i bought the book on tape because its easier for me to understand the book if i hear it. anyways it was $8 for one week. its due back tomorrow i think, or maybe thursday, but i am only on chapter 3 out of 8 or 9..because thats only how far we are in class, and i dont want to read ahead. it might get all confusing. i dont want to spend another $8, but i dont want to have to read it without the tape, or i will not understand it at all! haha. is there any way to burn the discs (it came with 4) onto my laptop? like for itunes you can burn cds or load cds on..is it possible to do that with a book on tape so i will have it for as long as i want?! I would say go to www.downloads.com and try searching for a CD Ripper. Download various software and try to see if any of them will copy it onto your hard drive.
Otherwise, if you have a microphone and a sound recording program on your computer, just hold the microphone (or you can use the left side of a set of ear phones as a mic) up to a speaker while you play the cd's and just record it. This is probably the "ghetto" way of doing it, but at least you will have the sound files on your computer.

There is no way to target certain body parts in hopes of slimming them down. The only way to slim your thighs would be to do an overall workout with decent eating habits. Eventually your thighs will become slimmer. If you do not want them to be bulky, don't do any exercise that primarily uses your legs. They will become bulky because the muscles are being used so frequently. You can tone them by doing high repetition/low weight on certain weight lifting machines.
