My parents both smoke... i dont like it at all and i know its killing the both the both of them! I dont want them to die and i dont want my lungs to suffer from it.. what can i do to tell them that they need to stop! I rate high.. please help me!
i just answered this same question 2 seconds ago lol. but ok my dad is a non stop smoker n i have gotten sooo sick so many times from it. ive taken his ciggaretts n watered them n told him that hes killing himself and all that stuff. but he doesnt listen. he knows its bad but he doesnt listen. i tried soo hard to talk to him about it because like cancer runs very high in my family. the only thing u can do is talk to them n tell them how u feel. but in the end they are the only people that can stop themselves.

My dad smokes a lot every day and it really bothers me and my mom and brother but mostly me. We all tell him to stop and he's always like "I will tomorrow or next week or after this and that"
And I always have to remind him to open the door or window when he's near me while he smokes...I mean he doesn't do it 24-7 and he knows when to draw the line sometimes, but it bothers me and I know he's ruining his health...not to metion I think he's ruining mine too! I suddenly can't run laps at school without me stoping breathing and it bothers me b/c it never seems like he cares...my mom stuck to her word about quitting after our cruise and I know its addicting but I want him to stop should I like hide his cigarrets from him or throw them out? What should I do? Plz help I will rate! (ps...it's embarrassing when he leaves his smokes out with the ashtray b/c my friends don't like it either :o!)
my dad is the EXACT same way. i am a madman when i see him or even smell ciggaretts on him. i take his ciggaretts n water them n do mean things to him with them but nothing works. my mom had cancer n we told him that if he does get cancer that we wouldnt drive him to chemo (harsh i know but we had to make a point) this has been going on for 4 years in my house n he still hasnt stopped. theonly thing left for you to do is to pray n hope that he finally realizes what hes doing to himself and to the rest of his family. because the only person that can stop him is himself.

I'm 14 and my boy friend and I have been togather since June 29 and its been good but there's one problem I live in the country and he lives in the city and its geting harder and harder every day to me cause we cant even talk on the phone cause it would be long distnace. Plus some times he goes out of town and we cant even talk on the computer cause at the other place he dont have a computer there and now he's down there and I really need to see him. i was in that same realationship for over 9 months n ya its really hard. but if u love him that much then yea u should try as hard as you can. but if u just think you love him then stop putting yourself through all that torture. cuz in the end of my relationship he ended up cheating on me cuz he said he didnt ge tto see me enough.
