17/m
I now realize that I would much rather be a girl than a guy. I think it would be really cool to go to prom dressed as a girl. Think people would get pissed or would it be okay. If I do go, any hints about what I should wear? Thanks

good luck
maybe they'll be accepting.
unless you live in a hick-ass town like mine,
where everyone thinks gays, bis, gender-change, and piercings, are retarded.
But no matter what, please yourself, not the world.
Either your friends will accept you and your decisions, or they're not good friends.
Best of luck (no advice on what to wear)

My 17th birthday is coming up in March and on my birthday weekend I happen to have dance competitions. Its going on it OR and thats where my sister lives. I really want to get my belly button peirced. My sister has a good peircing place in mind but what I'm asking you about is basically what to expect. Do they use piercing guns for a belly button piercing or a needle? I know pain differs from one person to the next.

Just some answers is all I require.
Thanks,
AG

im wanting my lip ierced, and I found some great sites

does anyone have a suggestion for a really good romance young-adult novel? any suggestions- authors, titles, etc. would be great. thanks [=

The Twilight Series
Twilight
New Moon
--Stephenie Meyers
The new one comes out in October,
and its about this vampire who falls in love with this human, and she's in love with him.

Its more of a tragic romance, but the endings are always great

Basically I have begun to really really like my guy friend. I am 13/f. He has gone out with 3 of my girl friends but they always dumped him because they stopped liking him. I have liked him for months now and seriously think about him 24/7. We flirt alot and I was wonderring if you have any ideas on how to tell if he likes me other than just asking him. These are things that he does that make me think he does like me:

I catch him staring sometimes and when I do he'll smile back and stick out his toungue (i know childish)
I am of mixed race and when people bug me about it and call me names he'll defend me and get them to stop
Sometimes he'll trip me for no reason
He always says hi to me in the hall
When we talk we have total eye contact (never wavers)
When we talk we'll usually end up shoving eachother and touching eachother
When he says something mean (even if it was a joke) he'll say sorry afterwards
If he's talking to the guys and I walk into the con he'll acknoledge me immediatly
he shows concern when im upset and kind of demands a reason why and such
Sometimes he'll put his arm around me for no reason

Reasons I think he doesnt:

He flirts with my friend who dumped him last year
If people say we look like a couple he'll suddenly run away
If people say were flirting he'll yell something like "Stop Flirting With Me" or "AAH Shes trying to Rape Me"
We walk to our buses together and whenever he approaches his he'll see the guys then run away screaming
He says rude coments when people say "we should just go out" such as "Oh ya like Shes sooo wanted" in a mean sarcastic tone

I have no idea if hes just being a good friend or maybe likes me! Any signs? How could I find out?

ack! that IS confusing. i've always wondered about a guy like that. (my guess, totally NOT accurate, as I never figured out about that guy either) I think he likes you, and is just immature. As in, its not a bad thing, he's just sometimes not as mature as he should be. I know its confusing, but I live by the "Its better to know than wonder forever" quote, so I'd say go for it. I know heartbreak is hard, but eventually it gets better, plus, I'll bet he likes you anyway

So I'm a cutter. As in, cutting my wrists and legs. I'm in therapy (so obviously my parents know about it). I had been clean for about 3 weeks, and since just 2 days ago, I started cutting again. Not to the point where I'm making my self bleed or anything, but it seems to numb my pain. It's like an addiction. Does anyone have any tips on how I can focus my thoughts somewhere else besides on self-injury?

Try what everyone else has suggested. Also, get about 2 rubber bands on each hand, and when notihng seems to prevail DON'T CUT. Pull the rubber bands so that they hit your wrists. Do this over and over again until the overbearing desire to cut is gone, then continue with your business. One of my friends cut, but I'm not supposed to know that, so I'm trying to help her too. Good Luck!

Okay, first off I will give you some details about me. I am a Senior and 18. Now usually I like guys my age or older but since last year when I was a Junior I kept notcing this cute guy checking me out. His locker was in the 8th grade hallway but I didn't think anything of it. He looked older than an 8th grader and had the most amazing blue eyes and smile I had ever seen. Everyday when I walked to class, we would catch eachother looking at one another. It was funny. He would look at me, and then I'd look at him. He would look down and so would I, and then we both would look up at the same time again and smile and then he shyly would turn away. Well this year I noticed his locker was in the freshman hallway, so I asked around about his name and what grade he was in. Turns out he is a freshman and he is only 15, but turning 16 soon. I just turned 18 and it is so weird to me that I can't let this guy go. He is just so adorably cute and I can't get over it. He seems really outgoing and I am very outgoing, but when we are near eachother, we get incredibly shy. Both of us. This isn't like me at all. Well at our school we can get guys/girls stuff for Valentine's Day. I bought a pink note (meaning secret admirer) and wrote a little poem on it. It said, "I've seen you around, You're very cute, but I can't seem to let you know what I want to do. So if you can figure out who wrote this to you, then write me a note and tell me if you feel the same way I do. Happy Valentine's Day." The notes get sent out on Valentines Day. Now there is no way that he can find out I wrote this, but I am nervous that if he finds out its me he might not say anything. I just want to talk to him and break the ice. Because we both abviously like eachother because we both make eye contact and stop talking to who we are talking to when we see eachother in the halls. Any other ideas about what I should do to break the ice. He recently added me on Myspace, which I had no idea how he found me, so I guess he had been searching me :) but he never wrote me anything, and I am too scared to send him a message or comment on his page. Any ideas?

I know you said you're shy when you're around him, but try saying Hi, I'm -insert name-. And just try a casual conversation. Like, I saw you added me on myspace. :) Or something. And if something does happen, he's definitely not too young for you. My best friend's sister was a senior who dated a freshman for a while. Good luck! Hope this helps.
