Well, I'm kinda prepish I'm not like a fake blonde who says "oh my god" and "like" in every sentence.. The person under me gave you some advice to make your own clothes and I tried doing it and its very hard. You might as well go into a store and find a shirt that you havent seen anyone where. personally i shop at abercrombie and fitch (i know expensive) but they have some really nice stuff on sale and its actually not that bad. hollister is a lot cheaper than abercrombie and just as stylish and there regular price clothing isn't that bad in my opinion. wet seal and urban behavior have really cute clothes that not a lot of people wear. and the shirts are only like $12.50 each and its not bad at all. victoria secrets has the PINK line that is soooo cute. there is tons of sweatpants and cute tees sweatshirts and bags.
for specific outfits most preps wear the jean mini skirts with leggings under them and a hollister tee with the hair in a messy bun and a cute headband to match.

im having my 14th birthday party on february 10th, and it going to be at my grandmas house because my mom dosnt trust 25 people in my house because my last party got to out of hand. I having in my grandmas basement because its hugee down there, but there ones probably, theres absolutly nothing down there except a drum set. I'm so afraid were going to have nothing to do, my mom said we could hook a tv up down there and watch a movie, so i was going to play that, and then that night were gunna play man hunt be in between i have no idea what do to. bring like twister or Cranium (love that game.) and put all kinds of snacks to pick on and the movie was a good idea. spin the bottle or truth or dare are 2 of the most fun games =) i dont know if you're having boys there but if you do then definitely play Spin the Bottle. 7 minutes in heaven is always good. bring music so people can listen you could even get a DJ. Now that would be cool!!!! just ask some close friends for some ideas and i bet they will have a bunch.

15/f. i really want to buy some cute rings to wear to school. i'd like some funky colorful ones, and then some silver ones, and some with jewels like fake diamonds on them. NOTHING real. lol i don't have that much money.
also i have small fingers =[ so i think i'm a size 5? is that small? if it is then thats what i am.

how do you dance at a schoool dance? im in 7th grade and its nothing fancy--u can wear sweats or jeans and a T or something. and they play normal rap or hip hop and stuff like that. there arent any slow songs. but when ever i try just dancing i feel like everyones staring at me even though no one is. lol (link)

im in 7th grade as well... and i actually had a dance last night and our dances are just like yours, nothing fancy and tons of rap music.
at first i was a little shy and i held back but by the second song i was like "fuck this i wanna have fun" and i started dancing to the beat of the song and you don't have to be a professional to dance. i copied my friends, did some of my own stuff and no one cared how i was dancing cuz it doesnt matter how you dance, the only thing you should be concerned about is having fun. and i was jumping up and down and doing crazy dances and even grinding with my friends and i just wanted to have the time of my life and once i let loose i had the best time ever. if you spend half the dance concerning about what you look like then you ruin the fun for yourself.
just act like you think your the best dancer ever and dont be shy because you will regret it. your only in 7th grade once so live it up.
just be with your friends dance with everyone and follow the beat (there is no certain way to dance) and you will have fun.

american eagle sells all kinds of shoes and they have many kinds of flats. actually a whole wall of the store is filled with flats so i'd check there because they are cute, fashionable, and not expensive.

places to hang out - mall, movies, bowling, ice skating, roller blading, mini golf, have him come to your house & watch a movie, go to his house, it really doesnt matter what you do as long as your with him, right?
you can either go with a bunch of friends so the pressures off and it doesnt seem like a date or it can just be the 2 of you.
to let him know you kinda like him, get a little pocket mirror and be like "i like this guy" and then he'll say "who?" and you say "i have a picture of him hold on" and take out the mirror and give it to him and tell him to look into it. that way he will see a reflection of himself. how cute right?! i know its corny but its sooo sweet. also you can whisper things in his ear, keep looking at him, tell him you like his shirt or the way he styled his hair, and if your really brave try to hold his hand. :)

okay so my boyfriend and i have been going out for 8 months but i need some help! so sometimes he'll tell me that it doesn't seem like i act like he's my boyfriend. he's not sayin i flirt with other guys because i definately don't. i know what he's talking about and i know i have to change but i need to know how. like i guess it's kind of like the quote " you don't know what you have until it's gone" i almost feel like since he's been my bf for 8 months i'm just like yeah your my boyfriendd, not mean or anything cuz i love himm and all it's just like i'm not a clingy person who will call him every single hour of every day or have to hang out every day. i really like him a lot and i don't want to lose him because i know i will miss him so much. does anyone have ANY advice as to how i can show him that i like him so much but make it suddle so he won't think it's an act becasue its not at all i just need help haha so please any advice is helpful thanks! write him a cute poem and write about how much he means to you. i know its corny, but he'll really like it.
also hug and kiss him as much as you can and tell him IN PERSON that you love him. saying "i love you" online isnt special. hang out with him whenever you have a free day.
if you dont make the effort, he wont stay with you so tell him what you just told me about how you aren't clingy and tell him about the "you don't know what you got till its gone." let him know that your sorry for not always acting like you love him and promise that you will from now on.
when you see him whisper in his ear and tell him you love him. do whatever it takes

i live in rhode island which isnt THAT far away and every girl i know owns a pair of ugg boots. yes they are still in style and yes the sheepskin boots are still in style. but dont just wear boots because theyre in style, only wear them if you truly like them! and even if they werent in style and you liked them, you could still wear them. things go in and out of style so fast, and no one can keep up. sometimes you have to start your own trends and wear what you like, not the crowd!!! (even though i LOVEEE uggs) haha.
oh yeah and abercrombie is having a hugeeee sale (where i live) and the shirts are even cheaper than aeropostales so stop in an A&F near you and see if the sale is still going. american eagle is cute, and hollister isnt bad if you find stuff on sale. and actually some of hollisters tees are only $20 each and thats not bad considering other stores are like $40.
and to the person below me said that hollister is 5 times more expensive than american eagle, that is soooooo NOT true. hollisters tees are $19.50-$24.50 and most of american eagles are $24.50. and hollisters tank tops are usually only $19.50 full price and american eagles can sometimes be even higher! so really it depends because sometimes hollisters full price clothes arent that bad. and to say 5 times more money than american eagles. um, lie!!!! lets say a tank top at american eagle is $25 that would mean a tank top at hollister is $125. um, wow thats a total lie. so dont believe her, its not that bad. just look for the sale stuff and cheap full price things.
abercrombie is a tad expensive so watch out (even though i love that store)

my boyfriends parents are soo rude. it drives me insane. i just came back from a 3 day vacation with them, and aside from being with my boyfriend, it wasnt too pretty. there was a couple occasions that we went out to eat, and they'd get up from the table and say "alright get up and let's go", even though i was still in the middle of eating. they did the same thing if we were in a store, even if i was looking at stuff to actually buy. also, they talk about people very rudely. when we were leaving, we stopped at a gas station and because the gas price was high, when they got back in the car they were whining about it and said "that b*****d can go to hell" and sayin they hope he goes bankrupt and stuff. AND they cuss SOOO much. like whoah. and the worse stuff possible. my family cusses minimally, and certainly not every word. its quite rare that my family cusses. but with them, every sentence they say contains a cuss word. one time his mom dropped some change or something in the room and she decides to yell "f*** me with a limp d***!". !?!?! that is just unnacceptable to me. first of all, thats not something to shout just because you drop some change, secondly, theyve used language like that ever since ive been around, but you'd think they'd have a little more respect and class than to use that kind of vulgarity around just anyone. and they smoke.. and cigarrette smoke irritates me. it burns my eyes and makes my head hurt yet i swear they each smoke like a pack a day. i just dont know what to do. i cant whine to my boyfriend about his parents. he doesnt smoke but he does cuss, although he tries to tone it down around me because he knows that i DO NOT cuss. i just dont. ive never been in that habit. and dont say talk to his parents because honestly they are quite intimidating to me. i cant tell my mom because she'll stop lettin me hang around them and say i dont need to be around those types of people, but i go to see my boyfriend, NOT them. basically i just want to know how to deal. any ideas? thanks- 16/female. woah, what harsh parents!!!
dont go to his house anymore or avoid it as much as you can. whenever he wants to hang out with you, try to hang out at your house or at the mall, movies, bowling, iceskating; anything that doesnt involve his parents.
even if you confronted them, they still wouldnt change. people have different personalites and you cant change people. maybe thats how his parents were brought up and its not their fault that they cuss and smoke a lot, because maybe its the only way they know how to function
just ignore them, and try to stay away from them. and if for whatever reason, you do have to be with them,don't let them get to you and ignore all of the swearing and just feel bad that they cant live life without cussing.

haha don't label them because they're catholic. all of my friends are catholic and some of them are EASSSSSYYYYYYY. so dont think catholic girls aren't naughty!
make sure you know them before you start grinding and once you get to know them and talk to them, just go with the flow of the music. theres no real way to "grind" everyone just does it different. go with the flow and just grind, theres no rules to doing it.

So well my question is about this "problem" i've had since I was pretty young. Basicly what it is well..at times evrything I hear will like echo strangely...like its hard to describe but its like I hear the acctuall sound then it echoes back angry and depressing. Like it doesnt even have to be a human voice just like the sound of a saltshaker hitting the table can sound depressing or almost angry at me.
Now its not completely random though...its almost as though I can chose when it starts but then getting it to stop is hard. I dont know. I just feel like im insane....does anyone else get this? is this normal? Please help...

well, i'm no where near a doctor so i really don't know what the problem is
but i can almost guarentee that you're normal, you're not a physco path =)
i will reccomend either going to a school guidance consuler, or telling your doctor and they will probably refer you to a phyciatrist
it doesnt mean your crazy or abnormal but maybe they will help you get rid or maintain your problem

ok, i'll be blunt, i hate my legs. i don't know why, and i'm not sure when it started, somewhere around grade 4 and i am now in grade 10. i have a little extra above my knees and i am self consious because hair grows thicker on my legs. so here is my main question: can you shave your uper legs? is it better to wax? if so how much is it going to caust me? last but not least: how do i get over being self consiouse about my legs?

I know you don't want to hear this answer, and fine rate me a 1 and kill my rating if you don't want to face the facts, but I'm not here to tell you what you want. i'm here to give advice
You're eventually going to have to tell them, or they're going to find out no matter how hard you try to cver it up. You might just want to get the yelling over with now because after the yelling and screaming is over, it's smooth sailing from there. sit them down and act mature about it and tell them why you wanted one. if you act mature, they will treat you more maturally and you'll have a better chance of keeping the nose ring. if you try to hide it, it will seem immature of you and they will think you're too young for a nose ring. if you speak calmely, and don't whine and state the facts, than they will treat you like an adult.
i know you probably don't want to hear any of this, but i'm telling it from my point of view and i believe telling them in a mature mannner is better than trying to hide it.
lets put it from your point of view. lets say 2 people stole your 2 favorite scarf. and lets say 1 of the people felt bad about taking it from you and sat you down and talked in a calm voice and explained that what they did was wrong and told the story from their point of view. i know you'd still be angry since they took your scarf, but atleast they appoligized and were MATURE about it and had the courage to talk about it.
and lets say the other person who stole your scarf kept trying to hide it but you knew they had it. wouldn't you be more angry with this person than the other person?? because this person didn't appoligize or show that they made a mistake. this person didn't have the courage to stand up and sy "yeah i took your scarf, it was wrong but i'm sorry"
so just put yourself in your parents shoes in this situation. if your mature they will be happy you had the courage to stand up to what you did instead of trying to hide it and make a fool of yourself. even if they say no, telling them about it was the right thing to do.

uhm, no its not weird, duh.
some people dont get their period till they're 16
trust me you don't want to get you're period, you'll hate it so enjoy not having while it lasts
signs are discharge which is yellow or white gooey stuff in your underwear, spotting, small amounts of blood, tender breasts, and sometimes you dont even know you're getting it.
hun just wait it out, it's nothing to worry over
