I have realized that I need to become more active, which will result in a whole liefstyle change.
I want to start riding my bike, and become more lean and fit. If I ride my bike for about 30-45 minutes, say a few times a week, at a pretty fast pace- will I burn a lot of calories?
What places on my body does riding my bike target, because I want to lose the fat on my stomach, and thighs. So, will biking help me with my goal, and will it help me get a flat stomach?
I am also eating very well, and incorporating crunches, and sit ups in my routine, as well as squats.

bike riding works your legs and thighs mostly. it doesnt help your stomach that much. Riding your bike will also help with endurance and cardio, which is important to maintain a healthy heart and body. if you want to work your stomach, i would suggest crunches and take up pilates, which will help you build a strong core and make your body toned.

I have hit this really bad plateau with my weight loss (5'2" and 155 lbs) and i've been this weight (and fluctuating about 5 pounds near it) for about 2 months now. And my diet and exercise habits have remained the same.


I was having 1200 cals a day, then i recently took it up to 1400, then 1600, but i keep screwing up.

I feel so deprived of food that I actually like (ice cream, pizza, fries, cookies, candy, etc.) that I completely binge on it whenever I have the opportunity.


I would like to know what you thin people do to stay in shape/thin (or is it just your fast-as-hell metabolisms?)


and is it okay to pretty much throw your diet out the window from friday night-sunday night? (i need some time to have my junk food)

answers:
1. most thin people have different ways of why they are thin. some work extremely hard by exercizing, while others can gorge on whatever the hell they want and they wont get bigger. its mainly based on genetics.
2. If you feel deprived of food, then you should eat a little bit of it, not binge it. if your dying to have a cookie, split the cookie in half and have your friend have one half of the cookie, while you have the other half. your helping your craving by doing so. if your going to have pizza with some friends, eat a small meal ahead of time (like a salad that has a little dressing on it), and limit yourself to one slice of pizza.
3. It is not okay to throw your diet out the window for a weekend. If you need to eat some junk food, you could have a sandwich and put some baked chips on the side.
The only weigh to lose weight is to eat healthy and excersize 30 minutes 3-4 times a week.

I want to be an actress but the problem is I cant sing. I'm not so sure what to do. And usually to act you also need a little singing skill. Any advice? Also I'm not aloud to take singing lessons I already take ot many dance classes. Any acting tips also? thanks!!!!!=]

well you dont have to be able to sing if you want to be an actress. look at many current actresses. most of them can't sing. so don't worry about singing. i would just take a lot of acting classes. hope this helps!

there is no way you can grow your hair "reallly fast" . since you need your hair long asap....i would get extensions. extensions tend to be expensive, but if you want hair fast, that is the way to go. talk to your hair stylist as well about where to buy extensions. you could also google about where to buy extensions for your stylist to put in. i hope that helps!

i cannnotttt fall asleep as hard as i try, ive tried music, ive tried warm drinks, ive tried reading, watching tv, I CANT GO TO SLEEP!its driving me crazzzzzy i lay in my bed for at LEAST 3 hours. then finally fall asleep, does anyone know anyways you have tried falling asleep and it worked? THANK YOU!!!!!!!

here are some tricks on how to fall asleep...
1. don't work out, or do any strenuous activities before you go to sleep. when you do workout b4 you sleep, your body creates edorphins and your body gets a little energy.
2. try drinking sleepy time tea an hour before you sleep.that helps.
3. when you are trying to sleep, imagine you are at the ocean listening to the waves crash on the beach. it makes you feel relaxed.
4. if you stress on falling asleep, you wont fall asleep.
5. you may be stressed out or worrying about something. try making your mind blank by thinking of wat i said about the ocean.

So, its my birthday, on july 20th. and i'm super excited. I guess. I mean i'm not having a party this year, and so my mom says i can get whateverrr i wanntt. like anythinggg.

-cell phone [whem my contracts up in september im getting one of those choclate phones] so ya dont need a cell phone.
-i dont need clothes. as weird as that sounds, i havent even worn half of my summer clothes yet.
-i have an ipod nano, its pink. so i dont need one of those.
-i just got a puppy a few months ago.
-i have a digital camera.
-i have wayyy too much make up.
-i have my own computer.
-i have my own flat screen tv in my room.
-i have lots of expensive jewerly.
-i have a pool, in my backyard, [i got that a few years ago for my bday..] and its huge. so dont need that
-i have a trampoline, which isnt old.

well it seems like you have just about everything.
since you dont need anything, there are people in this world that actually don't have much. for your birthday, you could have your parents donate money in your name to a charity. You will feel good that you helped people.

I'm 14. I want to travel to Europe when I'm 14 or 15. The trip costs around $1500. I'm flat broke and my parents would never give me that amount of money. How can I get some?

well the obvious answer is get a job. it will take a while to earn this money but you could start by babysitting the neighbor kids or apply to work somewhere. since your 14, you will have to get a work permit, but you can get those through your school. hope this helps!

ok well now Trevor (my ex bf) is being an ass.... but i love him alot.... we just broke up this morning and he ALREADY has a new gf!!! its really pissing me off! we r just friends but then just like an hour ago he said he still loves me but he loves his new gf too so its "hard" to choose between us..... should i just get over him or just wait 4 his answer on who he loves more?

well your ex boyfriend trevor seems like a jerk to begin with. if you just broke up and he already has another girlfriend, im sorry, but that's just screwed up. now boys are all stupid, so if i was you i would just get over him. Getting over a guy is really hard, but in the long run, you will be happy you got over him. hope this is good advicce for you. =]
