I havent really found my "hidden talent" yet, but most people tell me that i give good-working advice. I just moved from Wisconsin to Chicago around four months ago. Does anyone know how to get rid of a cold sore asap? thanks

Aghhhh cold sores! I hate them.
Unfortunately, attempting to camouflage a cold sore with makeup often aggravates the problem.

Cover cold sores with a protective petroleum-based product. This will speed healing and help protect it from secondary infection with bacteria.

Avoid salty or acidic foods. Foods such as potato chips or citrus fruits can further irritate cold sores and add to the pain.

Consult your health-care provider. If you have frequent or severe cold sores, see your doctor. In some cases, an antiviral medication called acyclovir can be prescribed.


Remember - Keep it to yourself. Cold sores are extremely contagious. Avoid kissing and sharing cups, towels, or other such items. Wash your hands frequently, especially after touching cold sores. And take care not to touch your eyes or genitals immediately after touching cold sores.

Hope it goes away in time.

Alright so the doctor prescribed me some pills, but after paying $60 dollars for them, I find out I get bad side effects so I don't want to take them anymore. The doctor said that I didn't have to, but is there something I can do with them? What a waste of money!

Unfortunately, you can't get a refund so there is basically nothing you can do. Don't just give these pills to somebody, you have no idea how their body would react to them. Throw them out or something. Yes, it was a waste of money, but its just money... you'll be okay (:

when i was 13 i was medicated more then what i think i should of been until the age of 15 when i refused to take any of it anymore. i smoke pot daily because it feels like somethings missing i feel so empty inside and i dont know what it is i need to get that feeling of nothing away. i just sit there smoking pot and staring at myself in the mirror and occasionly i see myself in some ones elses body which freaks me out i dont know whats reality i feel im dead imaganing and living my life as tho i was still alive i dont know whats wrong with me please im desprate

and if im still alive i blame the doctors because theyd caused this problem.

I think, and trust me, I'm no doctor... that the reason you feel that nothing, is because of low self-esteem and feeling like your life doesn't matter. I dont think you honestly care enough about yourself! Dude, I know this is not what you want to hear, but you can't blame your drug problem on doctors. I think you need to go to a counselor's or maybe even rehab if it's that extreme. Dont take this the wrong way, even if the medication was too strong, the side affects wouldn't of been using drugs! You need to get involved with the world around you. So many things are happening that you are missing out on! You need to tell yourself that you only have one life to live and truly realize it, too. Drugs aren't the answer, no matter how cheesy it may seem. The feeling you are wanting to achieve is not going to come from pot, its going to make that missing feeling even worse.

Ok,I'm a 14F and tomrrow I start school and I'm soooo nervous because I'm going to see my first crush.Anyway,I think there might be a HUGE possiblity that I might have him in one of my classes cause my school is very small.I wanna try to get to know him frist and try being close to him.I really don't wanna think about tommrow.Any adivce on how to keep my mind ocupied and try not to think about him???

Honestly, it is going to be hard to keep your mind off of a very important day, but to help keep your mind off atleast a little bit, try focusing on something else in your life. Maybe a friends issue?! Also, read a book. Reading has been proven to 100% change the mind's whole train of thought! One last option is sleeping haha, it is late now, so try taking a rest!

k so i need advice on my first day outfit. i was thinking of just wearing a tank top, jeans, and maybe some bangles or a cute necklace.

Sounds like a pretty good idea, but if you want to go a little further, try a " popping " shirt, that makes you stand out. For example, a bright yellow baby doll tank with matching jewelry. I did this, and I got a lot of compliments. People told me, everyone noticed me and that I definately held the spotlight! Even try skinny jeans if you want to make the outfit look better! Does it hurt at all?

I heard they take a really long needle, I can't handle needles very well.

My belly button was pierced, and the pain was not unbearable, but the pinch hurt pretty bad. It was a short amount of time, though so you'll be okay if you can handle a few seconds of pain! Mine got infected in the next two weeks, because I was too careless to take care of it properly. So if you do end up getting your b.b pierced, be sure you are ready to take care of it the right way!

A lot of people thought i was kind of " skanish "
for getting it pierced for whatever reason. Its definately not a slutty thing to get done, but I think because I was pretty young, most people looked down on me for it. So make sure you dont care what people think about it!

I love my boyfriend I really do but its just that lately I feel like I haven't seen him in weeks (because of my strictd parents) that I don't see how this is going to work out I have talked to him about it and he says he doesn't care about the amount of days he hasn't seen me but I know he does because everytime he asks me to hang out with him I always say no or make up a dumb excuse all because I'm not allowed to go out with boys or any friends because of my strictd parents I feel like it isn't right going out with him if I can't see him should I break it off with him?? If so how can I do it??

I wouldnt immediately dump him. You could definately regret your decision in a few weeks if you do! I'd find a day that's always open for you two and just hang then! Its better than nothing, and if you do really love him - you'll find ways to see him as much as possible. Dont let your parents control EVERYTHING. Especially your boyfriend! But, if you are still on the "ehhh" side of this, then just break up with him. Since he's moving, it'll probably save you more trouble to do it now, then in a longer amount of time. Well I got this acne medicine called that I use at bedtime but my friend has a different medication from her doctor that you can wear anytime. There's lots of it in a pack and she gave me one little pack and it worked really good!

I've been using it for 3 months and it's realyl been a miracle to my skin. I think it's almost time to go to the doctor for a check up now.

Do I tell him I'm using a different medication or not?

My dad is always inside there with me and he doesnt' liek it when I use other people's things, even if they gave it to me unused because he only takes things what doctors give.

Is it ok that I use both my acne medications? Will it harm my skin to use two different ones?

Well, to be on the safe side, just tell your doctor about the other medication. He might realize that it's better for your skin, and change it to that one. If the doctor agrees its best, then I'm sure your dad will, too! Secondly, I'm not totally sure that using two meds. is the best @ one time. If you want to compare which one is better, do-so. But don't use them @ the same time because it could easily harm your skin and get irritated.

Ok so i just started my 8th grade year! however last year there was this boy named kevin and me and him were the kind of friends who just waved to eachother between periods..Almost at the end of the year me and him started to talk and we became good friends! At the end of the school year everybody was celebrating and hugging people because it was the last day of school. Kevin came up behind me and asked for a hug so i gave him a hug and i was kinda surprised he wanted to hug me..Later on in the summer i waz at a sleep over at my friend melissa's house and i started talking to Kevin..ALOT..My friend melissa said randomly "WOW you knoe kevin!" and i sayd yea and i asked her how she knew him and she said she went to elementary with him///So we were on myspace for a while and we started calling eachother cute little bf/gf names as a joke...His ex randomly sent me a messege on my myspace and asked me if i liked him and i said yea the i got an instant messege from kevin and he said his ex taylor asked him if he liked me and i asked him what he told her and he said yea...After a few seconds he asked me what i said and i quickly logged off...I texted him and told him i said yea... then we started flirting..he told me to call him and i did..it was around 7 pm and the conversation didnt end untill 4 in the mornin!A few weeks of flirting went by and we became a thing! he asked me out through text messege and i gladly said YES bt after about a month when he asked me out we started arguing over dumb stuff and he has this show on myspace called
"CHANNEl 69 New at 11:oo" i found out he made a new episode and usualy in his "SHow" IT was staring Him and my socalled bro Jonny from skoo..So i looked at he new vid and there waz no Jonny! just sum uther kid and kevin!And all of the sudden i heard him making fun of jonny and saying jonny had herpes! i got mad and tol,d kevin it wasnt right and messeged jonny telling him wat kev said...Then kevin found ouot wut i did and he started giving me attitude so i told him not to talk to me if he was going to act like that..so a few weeks wents by and i finaly messeged him tellin him i didnt wanna be mad nemore and he said he didnt either so i though we were kool...Then that night i got this girl texting my phone saying
"leave my lover kevin Alone! he doesnt like you" so i wuz like wtf! So i asked kevin y he gave away my number and he said it was revenge for tellin jonny wat he had said then i found out the mystery girl was his EX taylor! so me and him started to hate eachother but after all the drama i think i still like him!!!1

First of all, I think Kevin is a fine guy from what I am hearing, but honestly if he's getting that pissed from these pointless things, he has some attitude problems. I think you need to text him and say, you know what kevin? I think we BOTH need to change our ways if you want "us" to workout. If you only say he needs to be nicer, then he's just going to get angry. After your fine little chat with him about all of the problems and uneeded drama, tell him that you still have feelings for him and you want it to go back to how it was before all of the crap! If he knows that you still want him after everything, he's definately going to realize how much you care about him. Although guys don't often show how they truly, emotionally feel, it doesn't mean he isnt sensitive in spots too! So if everything doesnt work, and you and him are still getting in fights that just leave you sad and depressed, get over him. Find someone who can make you feel great!
