I'm 17, getting somewhat close to 18, and i know ill be sexually active by the end of this year. For those who are my age or close - do your parents expect you to not do anything? I know if you're like 15, and your parents find out you're sexually active..and they have the right to ground you or tell you not to see him, etc. Do you think once we turn 18, it's more of our decision/freedom that are parents just ACCEPT? Or are there parents out there who try to control that and dont approve their 18 year old doing that (even though they are considered an adult)? Any opinions on this topic would be appreciated. Im just getting an idea of how parents react to this once you turn 18.
well, technically, if you're 18...that means your an adult, you can make your own decisions. but it really just depends on the parents. like when you were 15/16 were they really controlling? and didn't want you going out alot. if so then they might have a problem with it. but if they were more layed back, then it shouldn't be too much of a problem. good luck!
I am a 17 year old girl and I just made a huge mistake. I have a boyfriend, but this other guy has been hitting on me, flirting like crazy... and last night I gave in. It was only a few kisses, nothing at all really. But I feel really guilty. He said he won't tell my boyfriend because he knows I still love him. But what do I do? I really do love my boyfriend, this was just a one night slipup... if I tell my boyfriend I'll probably get dumped, if I don't I feel guilty... but I'll still be with him which is the desired outcome. What do I do?
my advice is to never lie about anything like this. it always turns out bad in the end. and for all you know this guy could get jealous or upset w/ you for some reason, and he could tell your b/f. you're best decision is to tell him as soon as possible, you don't want him to hear it from someone else. that would be way worse. good luck!

if you're in love with your b/f it's deff. not gonna be a problem. he's one of your good friends and you're just sad he's gonna be moving to a different state. if you wanna tell him how you feel about him leaving there's not problem with that, but you just wanna keep your b/f in mind too. good luck!

well..first off did you find out what "Bob" said you your friend when she told him that you liked him? he might be too shy to say something to you. second don't be worried if you guys didn't talk that much during finals, he was prolly stressing/studying for them. he might just wanna be friends and he might wanna be more than that, maybe you should tell him that you luck him. he might just wanna hear it from you instead of one of your friends. don't give up on Bob until YOU tell him how you feel and vice versa. hope i helped and good luck!
My dad is so stupid... He's hooked on religion channels and the bible like 24/7. Today, he's making me go on this stupid picnic w/ him and these peopl he goes to church w/ who are completely "off their rocker" and like psycho. I dont wanna go at all but I have to since my dad doesn't understand that I don't like the people nor do I like him. My brother got outta going here, but I'm to chicken to say anything or flip out like he did. And it's not like I dont like my dad because i do, it's that he makes me do shit that i dont wanna do. my advice is that you really need to get your dad to understand that you don't want to do these things, he's your dad, you shouldn't be afraid to talk to him about it. you have your religion and he has his, he needs to understand that you don't wanna hang out w/ those psycho's. but like i said talk to him, like really talk to him about it, you don't have to flip out like your brother did. just sit down and talk to him and make him understand how you feel about it. good luck!

I have this "friend" if that's what u wanna call him.. and his girlfriend and me and my friend have NEVER EVER got along since this shit happened with this guy and she threatened to kill herself and hated us and we thought she was psycho and ya know, the shit goes on. Anyways, he claims that we never shut up about this grudge that we've had w/ hid g/f when really he brings it up more than we do and obviously since girls are so caddy and shit, when they're put together and dont like each other, there gonna fight. ANd the only reason that we apologize to him is because we know he gets pissed when we do it and we mean nothing against him, just his girlfriend. I have this cousin, shes a couple years younger than me and thinks she runs the world and all that shit. well, i'm not exactly sure whats wrong with your cousin, maybe she's been having a hard time with things lately. tell her that she needs to chill out, and have more fun. also, you could have this awesome friend that you were talking about to have a little talk with her about it. b/c it's easier to listen to friends than it is family. maybe you should try cutting HER a lil slack on the jokes until she chills out more. good luck!

Okay, so I know this guy who is dating this girl that me and my other friend HATE! the easiest way is to just ignore him, but that doesn't always work, unfortunately. try talking to him about it, and keep telling him flat out that you're not interested in him, and tell him to move on. i know it sounds harsh but u gotta be harsh if he's not understanding you. if hes getting kind of stalkerish, you might wanna say something to the rents too. good luck!
