i'm in 9th grade & i still haven't used a tampon yet. i'm just really scared to stick something up there.. i almost did it one time but it like wouldn't go up or i wasn't doing it right or something. i want to use them really badly though, and i feel stupid that i've had my period for 3 years & still haven't used one. can someone tell me what it feels like the first time you use it, and how i shold put it up there and stuff? Don't feel stupid, I've had my period since I was 12 (I'm 16 now) and I don't use tampons. Don't really have an urge to.

sorry this might be long. i dont really know if im lookin for advice or if i need a place to help me get my heat out so someone can listen..
well my friends party is tomorrow and shes totally copyin me because shes doin the same things as i did at my party and its right next door to where i had my party. for her party she needs to know the exact people that are going because thats how the place is and it was the same for my party. well anyways i guess i have to go and first she said its gonna be at 6pm but now she says come at like after 6:30pm so i was like should i come at like 7pm and she was like yea sure. then i asked her when its gonna end and she tells me i can leave whenever and that people are gonna stay after 1:00am. oh yeah and shes only turnin 15 and i had a big party because it was my SWEET SIXTEEN..someone told me that shes only havin a party because i had such cool party.
today me n my best friend went to the mall to go get her a present and we couldn't find anything nice. so we went into aeropostal and i saw this really hott lookin sweatshirt and i had to try it one and i ended buyin it. i brought the gray one and my best friend brought the brown one which was a little different from mine for our friend as her present. im just so freakin pissed because i saw it first and that other girl cant rock it like me. now we are gonna have similar clothes. i tried tell my best friend that i didnt really want her to buy it. come on i thought my best friend is suppose to understand how i feel about stuff and really listen and care. the girl thats havin the party is always freakin copyin me and i just cant take it and im not tryin to be a selfish or jealous bi-tch. now i really dont feel like going and i really dont want to talk to any of them...

If it really bugs you that much, don't go to her party.
Obviously if it's such a problem ya'll aren't that great of friends to begin with.

They're mass produced anyway.
Everyone and their mother already had them.

You friend's bows look like the ones my friend Amanda has, except Amanda's are decorated with skinny black and white strips.
There are a plethora of them at Hot Topic, though when my friend bought them there, it cost anywhere between 4 and 6 dollars for two.
I, myself, bought a TON of clip in kiddie hair barrettes for about a $1.75 at Wal-Mart. I plan on going back for bows.
Check anywhere from the little kids section to the hair care department at Wal-Mart.
Also try Big Lots! and Walgreens.

Well, to start off my dog has been living with us for 4 years now and I myself am the youngest member in my family. Whenever I go near my mom, say MOM, or hug her and such, my dog gets REALLY jealous and dictates my mom eventually. I find it interesting and funny but anywhos, is this normal? =P (link)

My dog does that, we have both a miniature doberman pincher and a miniature long-haired dauschound.
The pincher (Carolina) is overly protective of my mom. Even when my dad tries to hug and/or kiss my mother, my dog'll go crazy.
She hasn't been doing it lately, though.
You pretty much just have to NOT be scared of the dog. If you want to hug your mom, ect. just go ahead and do it. Show the dog you aren't scared of her/him.

i've never had sex... so i don't know why i'm freaking out. but i'm fifteen and terrified that some random sperm may have seeped into me or something, though that's not very likely, i'm just PARANOID. plus, i had a cold, and now my body aches and im freezing, but i think i just have a virus. i'm just scared because i didn't get my period this month. and as nasty as it sounds, i'm sure my brother is having sex with his girlfriend, and i masturbate with my hands, so. terrified. i've been having my period for a little over two years, and it's not really regular. i miss a month sometimes, or for instance it will come on the 22nd of june, skip a month, come on the 5th of july, come the 19th of august. who knows. but i'm totally freaking out. sorry, sorry, sorry for seeming so immature. but mostly i need reassurance that this isn't possible... i haven't been throwing up or anything. just. ugh. help? Alright, normally I would ignore this question and just go on - but I MUST say something.
Grinding.
It's gross.
When I pay my two dollars and cart along my school I.D. I do not want to walk inside to see a large orgy (with clothes, of course...) in the middle of the floor.
And that's just school dances.
Out in public? It's even worse.
The moment you choose "grinding" as an actual dance is the moment you decide to tell the world that you're a total slut.
But, if that's what you want to do... it looks like air-humping to me.

Okay i'm in highschool and my mom is finally letting me wear gothic/punk rock clothing. I've got my wardrobe but my room is the opposite. How can i make it more gothic or punk rock WITHOUT painting my walls or buying anything too expensive.
I have sort of very light baby colored pink wall. I have rough creme curtains. My furniture is medium brown wood. Tomorrow I'm going to remove all my colorful objects but what else can I do? The only dark comforter I have is a plain dark green comforter. Do you think that will do?

To tell you the god awful honest truth - I wouldn't do anything that you personally don't like. Especially if changing your room means defacing your walls. My youngest sister has written all over her walls with permanent marker, painted her floor (first purple, then added yellow polka dots, and then tried to cover it with lime green) - her room looks like a disaster area.
Posters, magazine cut outs, and your own art (I took an art class my sophomore year in high school, and I put stuff from that class on my walls) pictures of your friends and possibly even the little booklets that come with cds look wonderful against walls.
One of my best friend's walls are hot pink, and she adds little things she collects from local concerts and random stuff she finds from when we hang out or she hangs out with other friends.
Her brother's room is dark purple (he's a HIM fan) and he's got a half a skateboard nailed to his wall, as well as a ton of skateboard-oriented stickers. Across one wall he has "YOUR PRETTY FACE IS GOING TO HELL" in spraypaint, and I think "CKY" done with black tape. And possibly a heartagram.
The tape will take the paint off your walls if you try to remove it - and your mother might not like the spray paint!
Be careful, and happy re-decorating!

Okay im 14/f and i live with my dad and 3 brothers... so i am clearly outnumber in my house.... okay i just started my period and i went to my friends house and she got me all set up for about 2 days... but like how can i talk to my dad... just me and himabout this...and i mean not just like "i need to go to the store" i mean like talk to him about it... cause im pretty sure i will be going through alot of changes..and i need my privacy.. i dont even have my own room... i share it with a 16 yr old guy....So like how can i talk to my dad about everything? You'll be extremely surprised, sweetheart, but I'm sure your dad knows a lot more about periods than you think he does.
Just because he's a guy doesn't mean he is clueless. He's your father, and he'll understand that as a girl you have special needs. I'm sure he was aware that this event would be coming up soon, had it not already.
Though I strongly recommend you asking your dad about getting your own room. You do need privacy, it's true, especially if you're sharing it with your sixteen year old brother (I'm assuming he's your brother).
Now, I don't exactly know how that works - because I don't have brothers.

I think it depends on the age of your guests.
Obviously, you're sixteen - so your party could be more mature, possibly. You don't want to scare anyone too young, too badly.
Well, a definite must is costumes. I'm sixteen as well and I'm going to have a Halloween party this year too. My friends say they won't dress up, but they have another thing coming.
Costumes could always lead to a costume contest.
MUSIC.
You have to have music. Anything from a creepy "Halloween Sounds" cd you can buy at Walgreens (I saw one today) to your very own creepy mixed cds.
I'm a fan of food - the creepier and more disgusting the better. I saw a commerical on tv for this kids toy - it makes candy or whatever, and it looks absolutely disgusting. Something to do with splatter, or something.
As many scary movies as you could possibly put on at one time. (My party will be outside, but I'm thinking of putting a tv in my garage door.)
Ouija board if you aren't religious.
Scary stories. Listen now, this is a big one.
If you're going to have scary stories PLEASE research them before hand. Nobody wants to hear bloody fingers six hundred times in one night. There are a plethora of websites dedicated to such stories that have scared me out of sleep countless times.
Or write your own, BUT DO IT BEFOREHAND.
Unless, of course - you want to have a "scary story add a long."
But, I don't recommend that, because there are always "funny" people.
DRY ICE FOG. I think it's rad, you might not, but I do.

I think you need to find out why the other girl is getting jealous. She might find you a threat to her relationship with her friend. My younger sister is about your age, and I've seen her go about these kinds of situations wrong too many times.
What you SHOULD NOT do is:
* Have your friends talk bad about the other girl.
* Be rude in return.
* Break up their friendship.
What you SHOULD do is:
* Figure out the problem by talking to the girl and her friend.
* Explain to the other girl that you like her friend and that you aren't trying to harm her in any way shape or form.

I think it really depends on you. If you want friends, you'll make them. Don't depend on other people to come up to you and want to be your friend. Try having a random conversation with someone in one of your classes, or sit with new people at lunch. Friendship is a two person commitment.
