Doubts regarding lifetime of a replaced laptop motherboard.
Question Posted Tuesday March 17 2015, 6:35 am
I own a lenovo B460E laptop which i bought 3 years ago. Last november i wasn't able to turn it on and after taking it to a repair store i was advised to replace the motherboard. Since i did not have the idea of buying a new laptop, i went ahead and replaced it. I use my laptop for gaming around 3 hours straight and it has a dying battery whose charge lasts for around 20 minutes. So i usually use it plugged in. I would like to know whether i can use my laptop like the way i am using it now or are there any precautions that i should follow. Thanks in advance.

Grandfather answered Tuesday March 17 2015, 9:46 pm: Because you're gaming a lot, one thing you can do is monitor your laptops components and temperature it's essential to maintain the correct temperature and you'll want to know of any problem right away. You can use a laptop monitoring software like "Speccy" which will monitor every piece of hardware in your computer. Including CPU, Motherboard, RAM, Graphics Cards, Hard Disks, Optical Drives, Audio support. Additionally Speccy adds the temperatures of your different components, so you can easily see if there's a problem. [ Grandfather's advice column | Ask Grandfather A Question ]
