Heyy,
I'm having a New Year's party and I have NO idea what we should do. Its going to be a girl/boy party & we are all 9th graders & there are going to be 2 juniors. we don't want to play 7 minutes in heaven or anything like that, just like other fun games. Thanks! :)
We're making our very own non-alcoholic drinks. It's like a Shirley Temple but a blue color. It's also bubbly so it seems like alcohol but it's most definitely not.
We're also going to play Twister for fun and whoever wins gets a prize of some sort. Twister's so much fun because you get to move around and it's very challenging and always ends up with laughter.
It's going to be a dance party so for your party, why don't you get someone to be a DJ. It doesn't actually have to be a real DJ, it can be a friend who doesn't like to dance or something. You can get an iHome and just plug an iPod in it.
A possibility that we're doing is playing Don't Forget The Lyrics. To play it, get some music and a microphone like if you were to sing karaoke. Then towards the chorus, turn down the volume completely to see if the person knows the lyrics. It's actually quite fun.
Or, you could just do regular karaoke. Encourage everyone to sing, even if they're tone deaf. [just kidding].
You can make a time capsule where each person brings an item and you can bury it. Then next year you can open it with the same people and it'd be like reminiscing.
I know this sounds dorky but it's actually really fun. Get into big teams where each one has at least one camera/phone or camera phone. Then have someone print out a list of scavengers. You can run across the neighborhood and everything. To be honest, it's VERY fun. One thing that can be on the scavenger hunt is "address of corner store" if you live next to a corner store. Or you can give each team a dollar and ask them to get as many items as possible with it.

I know the person above me said drinking games, but that probably isn't much better, honestly. Try to think of some things that will make everyone feel comfortable (no truth-or-dare...). Don't make it stressful. What you do specifically depends on how many people are there and what their personalities are like. Mine aren't too exciting, but we just have a tray with cut up cheese, veggies, and dip. We play video games, watch movies, think of New Years resolutions that we know we won't keep ;), and count down to the New Year. Maybe if you have some inside jokes you could do something that would throw those in there too. I know I gave you more ideas on what not to do that what to do, but here are some interesting game ideas:
