Health and College I have asthma and everyone on my campus smokes. They aren't allowed to smoke in the dorm and they need to be 30 ft away from entrances, but no one follows that rule. I have a hard time breathing and I can never catch my breath walking to class. I really don't know what to do. It's to the point where I want to transfer, but it's only October. The school isn't going to change the rules just for one person, but what can I do? Would wearing a scarf help at all? Thanks!

I think the best thing you can do, is really step it up and find other people who support you for a smoke free environment. I'm from Illinois and go to and Iowa school and both states are publicly smoke free. Give a good argument at to why it's beneficial, for everyone's sake. Good Luck. ]
