Snowball ok, so i'm 14/f. this year i'm in the 9th grade. well, in december we're having snowball, its like our winter formal for those who don't know. well, i want a cute dress, but i'm not sure what color or anything. i have brown hair, like, medium skin color, and i'm a little bigger. like, i'm not super skinny or super fat, like in the middle. so what dress would look good on me?? and then i have a totally different subject about snowball. see, there is this guy that likes me, and i think hes cute and everything, but i don't know him really well. my best friend thinks i should just ask him, and maybe i could get to know him more. but another thing is, i don't even know if i can have a date. my parents aren't super overprotective, but it's just weird to ask if i can have like a date cause i've never had a bf or anything. my best friend, she is prolly gonna have a date, but shes not for sure eaither. so what should i do about everything???? i'd feel more comftorable asking my mom if i can have a date, but it would be better if my friend was w/ me. is that an ok idea?? help me please!! snowballl is december 15!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thanks a bunch!

i think you should deff. get a dress with a halter top and stay away from bright colors. a black halter top dress i think is the best way to go. but if you can't find one you like earthy colors are good because if you get something bright then you'll have features stand out that you don't really want to stand out.
yeah, you should totally ask him! and tell your mom you could have like a double date with your best friend. go to someone's house for pictures and out to dinner or something. it won't be like totally awkward and everyone wins :] i hope i helpeddd ]

That dress is REALLY cute. I would buy that. It'll be great unless you're chunky in the upper chest area, in which case:

And I say to go for it! You're going to regret it later if you don't give him a chance! Plus, what've you got to lose? If it doesn't work out, then that's that, no hard feelings, but you could miss out on the man of your dreams! Go for it. Good luck and have fun! Oh, and before Snowball, invite the guy to have a family dinner, so your parents can meet him. Best of luck! ]
