all of that right and left stuff is just bull. i work in a tattoo and piercing shop and they are strongly against all that stuff. its just asocial thing there is no real meaning to it. people just tend to follow that stuff because they are afraid to go against it. so whatever people say it doesnt actually mean anything so dont worry. its just people no being comfortable enough with themselves ]
well, some people say "left is right and right is wrong" (meaning straight and homosexual), but that only applies to guys i believe. but don't worry, its fine on either ear. ]
In decades past, gays and lesbians were in a lot of danger from members of the public as well as the police. This made finding other people to date really difficult - emotionally and physically. The community developed a whole host of ways to tell other gay people that they were gay.
I think this is probably where the whole piercing on various sides thing to come from. It doesn't really carry any significance today - particularly as cartilage piercing was not around when these symbols were used!
I wish you the best. ]
just guys sweetie ]
Okay, what??? On a certain ear? I never heard that, just keep your earrings where you'd like them to be. And the gay and lesbian thing? What does that have to do with ears? Just ignore that piece of stupid superstition. ]
