Graduation attire I'm going to a high school graduation next month; I'm not graduating, but my boyfriend is. We go to the same school. I'm going to be sitting with his parents during the graduation. What should I wear? We go to an average, middle class, public high school. Here are some outfits:
1.Black dress pants with a nice shirt and nice shoes
2.Khaki pants with a nice shirt and nice shoes
3.Jeans and a tee shirt with sneakers
4.Jeans with a nice shirt and nice shoes

i agree with the person who mentioned a skirt. but if you do decide to wear a skirt, make sure it's not too short. you don't want to send the wrong image. a nice knee length skirt that flows, and a simple white top with some heels would be nice. the first outfit would work too. i'd stay away from khaki, but if you decide to go with jeans then don't wear sneakers with them.

The first option of black dress pants, white shirt to go with them and comfortable dress shoes is the way to go here. Everyone else will be wearing the same thing as graduations are usually and almost always semi-formal.
You can bet the girls/woman will dress this why and guys in suit and tie. Every graduation I've been at had people dressing this way. Jeans, sneakers, t-shirts, khaki pants are really not acceptable to wear for this ocassion. When in doubt ask your mother what she's wearing. That's the bes thing as she can tell you what's completely out. ]
You dont want to have any thing that will make you fell warm. graduations last a really long time and its either out side in the sun or in a auditorim thats packed with people . make sure to dress according to the wether. try a skirt with nice heals and a cute shirt that way you will still look nice and you will be comfortable. ]
I'd stick away from the jeans. This is a special time for your boyfriend. I would go in either 1 or 2. Of course graduations aren't normally very formal dress or anything. Also, it would make you look pretty grown up to his family, including any distant relatives who are coming into town. There's nothing wrong with wearing jeans though, lots of people wear jeans to graduations (and it's probably what he'll be wearing under his gown. ]
