he has a problem 17/m
So I have this new friend, i've only known him for like six months because I drifted apart from my other friends but thats besides the point. He has this problem where he feels like everyone is better than him, his best isn't better than anyone elses- like in our group someone is best at art while another is best at politics while another is best at writing and another at science whereas hes good at science too but i dunno... what do I tell him to make him feel better- something that will make him feel better now cuz i already told him he'll find what hes best at when hes older but that doesn't help the now. any ideas?

Try some encouragement. Tell him how good he is on the things he is good at. That's pretty much all you can do. I'm some one who thinks they're not good at anything as well. We usually don't listen to what any one says because we have already set ourselves up for failure. You can try to help him, but the only person that can make him feel better is him. I guess I'm trying to say that you should try to help him, but don't take his problems on as your own. ]
