CONFRONT HIM OR DO NOTHING AT ALL Posted Wednesday September 28 2016, 11:40 am
he doesn't want me, nor like me like that yet, because I had asked him out a while back but we never went out.....and from that day forward he'd still pick on me etc...well I dug around/did some research and found out he is engaged a kid yet, he told me he was single with no kids, but later down the road he admitted he had a kid, but I still said nothing about his fiancée...well, ive known about his fiancée for about a year now, but I never said anything to him. I know he never asked me out which is fine, but to withhold that info is strange and unnecessary, unless he had/has something up his sleeve.
well he still comes up behind me randomly and says BOO! while staring at me...or he'll massage me while im in the breakroom...

Special Needs Classroom Posted Monday September 5 2016, 12:19 pm
Hi there. I'm a 25 year old female and I'm a second grade teacher. To make a long story short... when I was in college, there were two tracks to becoming a teacher. One was called the "internship track" and the other was called the "developmental track." Basically, the internship provided student-teaching opportunity and you couldn't graduate unless you passed the teacher licensure exam. With the internship track, you were responsible for finding your own experience and you you didn't need the licensure to graduate (although you will need it in order to teach in the state you are living in). I live in Florida. So, if someone lived in Texas, for instance, and had to take a different exam to become employed, then it would ...

I think my assistant teacher hates me. Posted Monday August 29 2016, 2:23 pm
Hello, I'm 22 and a recent college graduate with my bachelors. I worked retail for four years before I got my present job as a lead teacher at a preschool. It won't be my forever job but it'll give me the experience for my resume which will, in turn, help me get a good job for my degree.
Anyway, per state laws: I cannot be the only adult with my 10 children as there is a 5:1 ratio that I need to follow. So I have an assistant teacher. She's been working here for about two years so she knows her stuff but I also think that she really doesn't like me. I went in this past weekend to take all of last school years things down and put up my own. It took me longer than I anticipated to take everything down so there is more stuff ba...

I can't lose weight. Posted Sunday August 28 2016, 10:35 pm
I'm a middle school girl, and I "suffer" from severe anorexia. I personally don't believe that it is an incredibly big deal, however there is one other problem. I can't lose weight. No matter what I do, nothing happens.Everyday, I record my weight, width of my waist, and what I ate that day. At the very most, I eat 750 calories a day. I do a hundred-cal workout however many times is necassary to work off the calories, plus 400 crunches. I eat organic cereal with milk for breakfast, resulting in 260 calories. For lunch, I have a 50 calorie container of applesauce, if anything. Then for supper I eat the smallest portion of whatever my mom cooks that I can get away with. Finally, I workout, doing the hundred-cal 3 times for lunch and...

Getting Along With School Organization Peers Posted Wednesday August 17 2016, 4:45 am
Last year, I joined the biggest school organization (for magazines, tabloids, portfolios) as a member of the Literary Department. I love writing poems and I am interested. This year, they promoted me to be the Literary Editor, a role that I could never take. I am not that skilled in writing compared to other members and I compare our works sometimes and I feel very inferior. I do know that there are no other members who could be chosen as the Lit Ed because they're not responsible enough to handle the tasks or they quit the club. I was a student of the honors class so they chose me. I pleaded to the moderator to choose another one because I can't handle the role. That is why the moderator chose the one up for it, the one who quit at first. ...

Fitting Into the term "Community" in the Workplace Posted Thursday August 11 2016, 10:37 am
All throughout the college, I always worked at being an overachiever. Succeeding in all of my courses and doing better than the majority of the other students.
After recently graduating, this is showing in my personality. I love the team that I work with, and our supervisor is awesome and VERY supportive - I am delighted to be working under him. He's the kind of guy who constantly takes out to lunch, has paid for some meals for us, and he's always willing to help out and give feedback. However, my subconsciousness seems to want me to throw anyone who I can under the bus.
This morning, thinking that I was following proper decorum, I sent a whereabouts stating that I was working from home today and would be retu...

My Bosses Have Terrible Written Communication Skills Posted Wednesday August 3 2016, 6:17 pm
I just recently started my first job after college, nearly two months ago.
One thing that I have noticed is that while my bosses have excellent verbal communication skills, their written communication skills are terrible. I respect them a great deal, BUT the content that they write is absolutely horrendous. This is mainly because they are from India and English is not their first language.
There are a ton of spelling mistakes and terribly written content. I think that this could impact sales.
One of my bosses, the VP of Marketing gave me a case study, telling me to make suggestions on which content to add. While none of the diagrams or flow charts are terrible, the content is terribly written and would not sit well with a U.S. client.

Eligible for Rehire Posted Wednesday July 27 2016, 10:14 am
Hello,
A year ago I was working for a social service (Group Home) and I had made an honest mistake.
I had left about 2 hours before my shift ended due to stomach problems as I had surgery back in 2012. I had left work and drove down the road (encase i got sick) as I did not want to be sick at the group home. So I pulled over to call the supervisor to inform her of what was happening. The supervisor had told me to get ahold of my boss, I called the boss and left a voicemail. Later that same week I made an honest error in my timesheet and added the 2 hours I did not work. This was done Thursday (I left Tuesday) the time sheet was not due until that Monday. On Friday the day after I filled out t...

16, graduating early and struggling with future plans Posted Monday July 25 2016, 4:59 pm
Hey everyone!
I'm sixteen and I'm graduating a year early (originally going to graduate in 2018), and I'm having a hard time deciding what the heck to do once I graduate. I want to go to college, but at the same time I want to move in with my boyfriend because of the tension I recieve at home (We've been together for more than eleven months). The problem is , If I decide to do this scholarship where I get college two years free, I won't have a car to go back and forth if I move in with my boyfriend. If I do stay home with the unwanted tension, I will be able to take one of the older cars we have to college. My question is, what do you guys think I should do? I'm struggling a lot with what to do and soon before I know it , I'll be graduating . Any advice will help. Thank you all.

look very young Posted Friday July 8 2016, 11:04 am
I'm 25 years old, female, and I've always had a very young appearance. It never really bothered me before, but in recent years, it has effected my career. I wouldn't say I look 12 or anything dramatic like that... but I look like if I was about 19/20. I have a master's degree and ever since I can remember, I always wanted to be a teacher. I received my bachelor's in early childhood education and worked as a teacher's assistant for two years. The first year, I really don't think I was prepared. I was not very confident in myself and I was going through some very difficult things. I had a loss in the family and a health issue of my own.
But, then I worked in another classroom where I had a horrible experience with the co-teach...

Does it sound like he likes me okay? Posted Wednesday May 25 2016, 10:24 pm
There is a guy who went to school with me until last semester (he graduated early) who's a year older than I am, and we started talking in school alot at the end of last year. Since then, he'd come up to say hi, give me hugs on occasion, and try to scare me by coming up behind me in the hall while I wasn't paying attention. He'd also ask me to sit with him at lunch when we had an altered schedule and we happened to have the same shift, and (sorry this part is misplaced) we' talked quite a bit at his locker and on the way to our different classes. Since he graduated early, I hadn't seen him since first semester until he came a few days ago for a senior awards assembly. I didn't even see him because I was worried about being late to class, bu...

He seemed interested but then he dissed me...why would he do that? Posted Sunday May 8 2016, 3:41 pm
There's a guy at my work place who I had a crush on who seemed to like me too. Most of my coworkers pointed it out and has been talking about it for weeks. He would flirt with me, playfully push or tease me and go out of his way to talk to me which gave me the idea that he was interested. Anyway he has a long distance gf and I guess things aren't that solid between them because apparently he was talking to this other girl from his second job. So yesterday I heard from someone I work with that he basically told my coworkers that I told him that I like him and how I can't help myself but to like him and I'm throwing myself at him when he's not interested and said in a subtle way that I was ugly or unattractive. I was extremely upset by all of...
