Books with a lesbian as a main charecter?

Posted Wednesday November 4 2015, 7:03 pm

I went on amazon and looked under LGBT section, they're all adults, in lusty sexual relationships, and most of them are gay. I want to find one I can relate to??? I'm a 12 year old closet lesbian, my parents know but other than that, nah. One that isn't just about sex and beer but actual struggles like hearing "fag" "dyke" and other homophobic slurs all the time? And being afraid of being outcasted? Like once my friend talked about how she wish we had a youtube channel, and i was like "we'd be like dan and phil, that would mean people would ship us intensely" and she started backing away and getting creeped out, I clarified I was joking and she calmed down but still. Anyway can this preferably be by an LGBT aut...

How do I meet famous people?

Posted Tuesday November 3 2015, 7:36 pm

It's not fair my friends meet them like this one girl I know met pewdiepie and Jeremy Shada (i don't like either but whatever) and I really want to meet Dan and Phil (danisnotonfire and amazingphil) and the MDE (my digital escape) crew, and Andy Beirsack, Oliver Sykes, Ronnie Radke, and Kellin Quinn would make my life complete. Any of these people in New York so I could accidentally on purpose bump into them? And when I do how do I not act like a deranged crazy fangirl? Thank you.

I don't know what to use for my nose because my skin isn't the oily type, and my nose gets dry, blackheads and tiny pimples. Are there any suggestions on drugstore products I can use for this? Thanks!

Too much makeup?

Posted Thursday October 29 2015, 12:46 am

I am from Australia. A boy I know recently asked me "how much makeup do you wear!?" in a "you wear so much makeup" sort of way. I wear tinted moisturizer, concealer for under my eyes, I curl my top eyelashes and put a bit of mascara on, put black eyeliner on my tightline and some face powder and sometimes a bit of bronzer and that's about it. It might sound like a lot but it's pretty light makeup. I don't pack on the tinted moisturizer either. Not many girls in my grade wear makeup. I would like my makeup to look natural, as if I'm not wearing any, and I don't know how!! Are there any tips or drugstore makeup products which are good for that? Thanks!

I'm VERY indecisive.

Posted Saturday October 24 2015, 9:07 pm

This probably sound very common to you but I have to accentuate the VERY in this situation because it's true; I can't even choose which colour to paint my fingernails. Currently I'm in a sticky situation in which my music teacher has ordered a viola for me because I wanted to try it out but now I'm having some doubts. Here's the whole story:
1. My friend decided to play the viola and I found it might be fun to try out a new instrument along with a friend. I asked my parents and they were a little hesitant but said yes.
2. We told our music teacher we wanted to play viola and he ordered two since we don't have any violas at our school.
3. My friend decided she had two much on her plate already and decided not to play v...

Gender identity / confused

Posted Wednesday October 14 2015, 11:02 am

(Sorry, not sure which category this would fit into.)

I'm a 16 y/o (born) female.

So.. Yesterday on my 16th birthday, I decided to come out 100% to everyone in my family. Everything went well, but for the longest time, I've had problems about deciding what my sexual orientation.

So for now, I'm settling as bisexual. But bisexuality isn't just 50/50. I'm more of 80/20. Girls being the 80. I am staying at genderfluid.

I want top surgery because I want my breasts gone, BU I don't exactly have 10k lying around. I prefer she/Her pronouns, and I always go by my birth name, even though on my more masculine days, I would prefer Spencer.

So.. my problem is..

I...

Would it be cultural appropriation?

Posted Friday October 2 2015, 4:04 pm

So I'm a white European (family is from Italy) and I heard that dressing up as a culture or religion is racist. Mainly minority groups but I've heard some about certain countries. Basically I want to dress up like I'm from the rennisaunse or medieval times at Halloween and I'm wondering since it's apart of my culture would it be bad?

Am I making a good/right decision?

Posted Sunday September 27 2015, 3:38 pm

Hi,

I live in Canada and I am 18 years old. Throughout my life, I have come across many ups and downs. Things such as losing friends, not being able to find work, and etc., haven't bothered me as much as what I am about to tell you. I have grown up in a religious family of 6. My parents, my siblings and me. I always used to get beat up over the littlest things, and I used to cry, as every child would when their mother would beat them up, and I get that. I understand that in certain cultures/societies children get hurt over something little and their parents hurt them so the child doesn't make the same mistake over again. When I was in grade 7, my beliefs in religion changed and I stopped praying and practising my religion's w...

Confused about my nationality

Posted Saturday September 26 2015, 2:34 pm

To begin with, I want to say three things:

1. This question is going have too long of a description.
2. I don't want to consult a psychiatrist. I want advice specifically from North Americans as it is a matter between them and me.
3. I am from India and I don't think that it should have been that way.

As I said, I was born in North India and that's where the problem really starts.

I am a male and I have been born into a Hindu family (Hinduism is a religion). I have been educated in a Roman Catholic school. It was a nice school but I didn't make friends there. I am 20 now. Right now I am pursuing Computer science in a random college in India. I have been open to few different culture...

Sudden slump of performance

Posted Friday September 25 2015, 9:15 am

I have been working in a content firm for the past 3 months. It has been pretty good until recently. I have been making a lot of errors interpreting the information from the website. Though I don't have issues with my grammar I seem to be writing pretty funny stuff. Since the guy who does the editing sits next to me, he let's me know about the errors every now and then. He can report to the head if he wants but he isn't. Errors seem to be popping up even though I double check them before submitting. I recently started the habit of listening to music while writing. Is that the problem or am I taking things lightly as I'm good at it. Kindly advice

When am I able to leave

Posted Saturday September 19 2015, 11:09 am

I'm 16 from Wisconsin, homeschooled.

My Mom is driving me insane, I love her but her strictness and constant yelling/ accusing is driving me nuts and I don't know how much more I can take before I blow up at her.

Anyway, I'm sixteen but I'm in 12th grade(did two grades in one year due to homeschooling) and I've heard that once you graduate you are considered an adult if you're seventeen, which I will be once I Graduate, but other people say you have to be 18.

I just want to know if I can move out then or if I have to wait until I'm eighteen.

Please let me know if you can, she's making me go to a tech college that I'm not sure I want to, accusing me of drugs and is super strict ab...

Super self-conscious

Posted Thursday September 17 2015, 10:25 pm

Female, 13 – So I've had glasses for almost all of my life, braces for a long time, & my hair is really poofy and thick and wavy and I am super self-conscious about how I look. I feel like nobody will like me as more than a friend unless I get contacts, my braces get taken off, and I go to a salon to get my hair done. How can I feel more positive about how I look? Thanks for answering! And I'm not trying to make people that have braces, glasses, and/or my kind of hair feel bad about how they look. This is just based on MY appearance.

A cup moved by itself... Please help me?

Posted Sunday September 13 2015, 4:38 am

Alright, so let me start with the beginning. I was drinking a slushy type thing that was in a glass cup (It isn't light, it is a little heavy). Since there's ice in it, it "melts" and makes the underneath of what it's on wet. Also the cup itself, since it slowly melts therefore causing the cup to become "moist". Anyway, while I was drinking that, I was on my laptop doing whatever. Once I finished it, it was just an empty cup on my wooden nightstand. I then heard it move, and I looked over and literally saw it moving. I got so incredibly scared that I literally froze and stopped breathing. It scared the hell out of me. I was one of those people who didn't believe in ghosts and thought it was just a bunch of bull, but now ...

Scared to live alone

Posted Sunday September 13 2015, 1:22 am

Tonight's my first night staying in a house by myself ever. I've seriously never done this before and I wouldn't admit it if this wasn't anonymous, but I'm scared. I live in a nice neighborhood and don't know of a single break in that's ever happened here, but I still can't help feeling a little nervous about it. I'm a woman by the way and I'm paranoid about what would happen if the wrong person found out that I live alone. I have three small dogs who bark at noises. Part of me thinks that will make thing better, but the other part thinks it will make things worse. I feel like they'll let me know if someone's outside or anything. However, I also think they'll scare !e when they bark at nothing and then I'll get used to it and ignore them i...
