okay so this may be long but i really need some help...
okay so my little brother was telling me i should date tyler. Now i have never met this boy before in my life. But i have a cousin who is like a sister to me and he is her half brother on her dads side and i am not related to her dad. So we aint related. And i asked her about it and she said she dont know because she never sees him.
SO austin said oh well he is my homie and we are really good friends. Then i started to develop a crush on him as i seen a picture. Well my brother then went and said "well we aint homies we are just friends." and i said "ok".
Then the next day he said "i found out why tyler didnt give you his number" and i said "why" and he said because he has a gf." and i said "ok so".
Well he kept asking if i was sad and i kept saying no because it wasnt like we was dating. i wasnt upset. And it was weird. lol. he was telling me that tyler told austin he was cheating on his gf and that he was a player and he didnt want me to date him. and it just got really confusing because i didnt know if he didnt want me to date his friend (which sounds like him) or he was being serious...
and even if i were to date him it would be for a few weeks during summer then it would be over as i would be leaving indiana. And he lives 2 minutes away from me--on foot. But i dont know, what does it sound like to you?? I know if he has a gf not to mess with him because its bad, im not that way. So please dont put anything about that, i just need help on what to do ASAP...thanks (link)

well this was a little confusing but i will try my best. okay it sounds like he might be a player but he might not i am just not sure. i think i would need 2 know more about him. But then again your brother may not want you to be dating a friend. my suggestion is that you wait i'd say a week or 2 and be flirty with this guy you like and talk to him and everything. If it seems like he is interested then casually ask him if hes dating. if he says no then i say go for him, BUT be carefull of your brother. i have a brother to and this can be a fragile situation for them. i would say talk to your brother one on one and tell him whats up. tell him you aren't try to steal his friend but you like him and reasure him that he will still have his time to do guy stuff with the guy u like, without you being around. i say go for it if you want cuz if you never try you will never know. trying is deffinately worth it. i hope this helped!

13/f 7th grade
all my friends are starting to "date". they go downtown or to the strip mall or to each others houses and have these group "dates" with their "boyfriends" but my mom doesnt let me go because she doesnt think im old enough. I just like the boys as friends even though i have been on 1 "date" myself I like the kid I went with as a good friend. but people are starting to ditch friends for boys and go out all the time and tell each other they love each other and thinking about kissing so I was wondering what age ae kids supposed to date? is my school ahead of other people? and my mom wont let me go anywhere with boys so how can i convince her most boys are never going to be more than friends to me even when im older and certianly not now? hi. I'm in the ninth grade and i didn't start dating until the eighth. it's really mostly about if you are read or not. you are 13 and that is wen i first got into that stuff. Explain to your mom that you are just friends with these boys and try to show her you are responsible. It is all based on you and the person you are going to date if you are ready for it. Your friends are only ditching eachother for boys because they r excited that they have hteir boyfriends. don't be worried this will most likely pass becasue they will realize that boys will ocme and go but your friends will always be there. Your mom right now is probably liek my mom and is affriad of you growing apart from her. reasure her that u will still always have that mom and daughter show but u also need to be social. I hope this all works out for you.
