I tried to download software that allows you to convert DVD and other video formats to the iPod video format, but after I did it, it wouldn't open. What do I open the software up with? Like there's no shortcut on the desktop or under "start" or anything..I use bitcomet.

ALSO: what is the best software for what I'm looking for?

ONE MORE THING: we're getting a new computer soon. I don't have an iPod video but I still buy (and will be converting) videos for iTunes. How do I transfer the videos from the iTunes of an old computer to the iTunes of another without them both working at the same time.

Thank you. (link)
Well, I think the software you need is DVD ripper or DVD to iPod converter. Aimersoft has this kind of software that I usually use. They are really powerful. Actually you can go to the homepage of Aimersoft to search the software you want. http://www.aimersoft.com/index.html
I’m sorry for the iTunes question that I have no idea.

does anyone know how to burn downloaded files from a computer to a dvd cd that is playable for DVD players? What program can I use? Thanks in advance. (link)
Lots of freeware can help you like Nero, Windows Media Player, etc. But they all have limitation on formats. For example, you can’t burn videos of AVI format into DVDs. I use Aimersoft DVD Creator which can convert the formats of videos and burn DVDs. Here is the link that you can try it: http://www.aimersoft.com/dvd-creator.html

can you really download a movie on a dvd onto your computer? or onto your itunes/ipod? i know this question has been asked but i searched and couldn't find it, sorry :( (link)
What you need is software named DVD ripper. Some of it is free like Handbrake, DVD Shrink, etc. But if you need quality guarantee, high speed in ripping and more formats supported, try the paid software. I usually use Aimersoft DVD Ripper to rip content from DVDs to my computer. Here’s a link where you can find it: http://www.aimersoft.com/dvd-ripper.html
If you want to put videos into your iPod, make sure that the videos must be the format that iPod support like MP4, M4V. Otherwise, you need software to help you convert the format of the videos. You can find it on http://www.aimersoft.com/dvd-to-ipod-converter.html
At last, it’s hard to say whether it’s illegal or not that you rip DVDs. It depends on your purpose.

how do you rip dvd's on your computer (not music from your cd but videos form your dvd). Because the teacher putted our dancing perfermane on a DVD and I want to rip it on the computer, upload it on youtube and put it on my site (link)
I think you need DVD ripper software to help you to rip the content of DVDs out to your computer. I usually use Aimersoft DVD Ripper to do that job for it has quality guarantee and high speed. You can try it first. Here’s the link: http://www.aimersoft.com/dvd-ripper.html

Does anyone know where I can download a safe, free DVD ripper?
It needs to be safe.
(I know most aren't free, so maybe one with a sample or something) (link)
I hope Handbrake and DVD Shrink can help you. They both are free. In fact, I prefer to use paid software for its performance is good and high efficiency. For example quality guarantee, rip in high speed, etc. You can try Aimersoft DVD Ripper which I always use for trial. Here’s the link: http://www.aimersoft.com/dvd-ripper.html
