i was previously on the birth control shot that lasts for three months. i fist took it in april or early may of last year i believe. The shot stops your period and is supposed to last for 3 months. However, I havent gotten my period since. Its been well over three months and I actually was not very sexually active during this time. Actually I wasnt at all. Recently though I started again and decided I would go to the doctor to see what is up with my body, I just havent had the chance to just yet. The problem is I had sex very often during the past week and of course I used a condom and everything but you never know with these things. Nothing was weird except I was really sore because I went from barely having sex to doing it quite often. Today I think I peed more than I do in three days combined. And now I noticed that the nipple of my breasts are quite sore. What could this mean and is there any possible chance I could be pregnant or even experiencing symptoms this early if i am, because It's only been a week since I started being very sexually active.and again, I made sure to always use a condom... well to answer your question I was on the shot for 4 yrs and had sex with no protection and I always thought I would become pregnant. It just didn't happen though. Depending on how long you have been on the shot it varies. see with me i was on it so long it lowered my chances of getting pregnant, and this shot was the strongest birth control there is. I did have symptoms as well but they weren't true symptoms. It's just your body could be changing. But if you do think your pregnant I would avice you to take a pregnancy test or go to the doctor.Anything could happen you never know. but I hope I helped in some way. good luck honey!!!

What exactly are Braxton Hicks. I have been having them for the last like four days. I have only had them really bad twice. I am 33 weeks pregnant. Is it true it means you are going to have your baby early? Is it true it thins you out so you can start dialating. (link)

braxton hicks contractions are false labor contractions. I had them a month prior to having my baby. They can get really painful sometimes to the point that you think your in real labor but your not. I of course had had that happen like 6 times. Went into the hospital thinking I was in labor but wasn't. Eventually I lost my mucas plug and went into labor 2 days after. I had my baby 3 weeks early. In some cases If the contractions are strong they can make you dilate. I was dilated to 1cm at 8 months pregant. Once you hit 3cm they admit you into the hospital. I worried so long about my braxton hicks contractions. If they really bother you, I advice you to sit in a warm bath tub or either have a warm substance behind your back. It really helps in most cases. also do exercises. If you have taken a class they will show you many different exercises to do. Most of them do work. But other wise just hang in there because your due date is just right around the corner. :) I wish you the best to you and your baby!!!

My period is 10 days late.
I was normally supposed to have my period on the 17th of April, still today it's the 27th and no luck? I am having a clear discharge almost like my period but when I go to check , no period just the discharge (It does not smell , itch nothing like that ). Also I sleep alot lately, All I want to do is sleep. I haven't had really any morning sickness I do know last night I went to the movies with my boyfriend and was slouching around in the chair in many different positions because my stomache was cramping, I thought maybe if I woke up this morning I would have a period an still no period! I tested on the 3rd and 4th day just incase but had 2 negative hpt test but could have been because I tested to early. I am going to test again today sometime an possibly tommorow morning just to see what kind of result I may have.
I was really interested if anyone has had this same problem prior to being pregnant , I would love to hear your advice.
I am financially stable as well as my boyfriend, engaged an not some 14yr old who didn't use a condom properly, I am here for advice an someone in the same need or someone with advice that would be greatly appreciative :)

I was the same way!!! but I waited 6 weeks before I took a pregnancy test. They say at 6 weeks pregnant it will read a positive pregnancy test and before then you can get false negatives. I had kept getting false ones until 6 weeks and then I found out I was going to be a mother and ohh boy was I shocked. and fyi about the discharge its comman in pregnancy because I had alot in my pregnancy to the point i was worried about it until I had went into the doctor and they said it's normal. So if your pregnant then good luck because parenting can be fun at times and hard at times. :) I wish you the best...

okay, im a nineteen year old female and i really want a baby. im NOT old enough, and i know im not ready, but i cant help wanting one. there is no way that i will have one right now, because i dont want to hurt the chances of my child's future, so i WIll wait to have a child. i was just wondering if anyone has ever felt the same excitement for motherhood so young, like me. and, if you have, i was wondering how you deal with it, because its been making me sad lately. ok I have been in your situation I can say and it sucks. but when I was 16 I had a pregnancy scare. I didnt know what to do because I was so young. my relationship wasn't going well and I was still in school and everything, so raising a kid at the time was not right for me. I didnt think but once I had a misscarriage things had changed. It took time and time to get over it but eventually I did. ever since then I had wanted a baby because I was depressed about my first one who had died. and now that I'm almost 19 I have a 3 month old daughter and shes the greatest. I always asked myself if I should have waited but now knowing it was the best decision I had ever made. once you have a child it changes everything. you just have to be ready to take the responsibilities. I grew up alot since I had my child. its fun but it can also be difficult sometimes. all I advice is to listen to your heart and listen to what its telling you. If your not ready then dont have one, but if you think you are then go for it. :) i was glad to tell you my story. If you do eventually decide to have a child I wish you all the luck!!!
