Q: I don't even know where to begin. I'm 15/f, and I'm so alone, and so lonely all at once. I don't go out at all, not even to my front porch, and I'm always locked in my room. The last time I went out was probably two or three days ago, and that was with my mom to the supermarket, and because she forced me. I have no one to talk to, and I really don't blame them. No one wants to be bothered with other people's problems when they already have to deal with their own. I've lost all my friends to more interesting things. There's not really any clubs or activities around where I live, and even if there were, it's not like I'm motivated to do anything. I put on a different face for people, a confident, conceited side of me, but lately, I don't even care much about personal hygiene. The last time I went out with my friends was about 2 weeks ago, and I deadred every moment of it. I'm completely terrified by the thought of having to meet new people, in new places, and of doing different things. I literally don't belong anywhere, because I'm not normal like everyone else. I don't know how I came to be this way, or why. I take zoloft, and I go to therapy; whenever I feel like it of course. The worst thing is, I don't want to be like this, but at the same time, I don't want it to change. I don't want to be shy, and I actually want to have a boyfriend, but I find reading a book in my room a lot more comforting and safer. I hate that I feel better when I'm secluded, instead of being at a party, or even the mall. Thinking about the future and actually having to get out of here and socializing with people makes me just want to kill myself. I used to keep a journal before I got on my meds, and at first it seemed like I was improving, but now it feels worse. I'm suicidal again and I feel trapped, alone, and worthless. There's this voice in my head that asks me everyday when I wake up,"why haven't you killed yourself yet?", and I daydream of how to kill myself in the most painful and cruel way possible. I don't want to be worse, but I don't feel like getting better either. I don't feel like doing any of this anymore, because it just doesn't seem worth it. I don't even know what I'm asking, or if I'm even asking for anything at all. I guess all I'm looking for is a little hope that there's something better, some way for me to GET better, and maybe just a little motivation. Thank you to any of those who bothered reading.

First of all. The last thing you would ever want to do in this situation is iscolate yourself from the world. You might want to get involved with a church. And talk to a preecher about the way you are feeling. I know you may not want to, but it will really help. Also you might take a family camping trip for a weekend or something. You need to find a hobbie that you can focuss on to keep you mind clear of bad thoughts. It will also motivate you to want to do better. I like to paint and I'm also learning to play the guitar. Q: I met this guy at drivers ed (dorky right?) and before i started talking to him i thought he was really hot and probably stuck up but after i got to know him i thought he was really sweet and cool and we had alot in common. so we got each others numbers and last week we texted all week long. he was on a camping trip so he didnt have much signal and whenever he did get it he would text me. btw- drivers ed was two weeks ago. we talked soo much and flirted and i laughed at stuff he said. it was great! (also we were flirting or whatever he was telling me how he was practicing guitar and i told him i really wanted to learn and he said that he would teach me.)so now we havent really talked this week and whenever we did i would have to text him first. i like him so far from how much i know about him but i dont want to bug him or push too hard.. i just cant tell if he likes me or if he thinks of me as a friend.. what do you think??

I think he likes you, but he may be getting bored of you. You should tell him you really like him and see what he says. The same thing happened to me. He probably really likes you and is trying to get you to like him, but if you don't tell him you like him, he may think you just want to be friends or like someone else. so just tell him that you really like him. Hope that helps.

Q: Okay, well I have a clean-cut sort of preppy style, and since Christmas is coming up and I'm bound to get gift-cards and money, I have some questions: (Note: I'm not talking about Hollister kind of preppy. Like that New England, clean sort of look. Old money preppy, not label-bearing-new-kind-of-preppy-that's-not-really-preppy.)
1. What's a good checklist of things to buy?
2. What are some good stores? Not specific brands, I can do that myself, but what kind of stores?
3. Where can I get some clothes that have those little patterns of like whales and sailboats etc. on them? The only things I have like that is a puppy-covered sweater vest and an anchor-patterned tank top. Where can I get more stuff like that?

Well, at the mall there is a couple of stores that would be perfect such as Pacsun, Wet Seal, Urban Outfitters, and also even Kohls has stuff like that.

Q: I am a 21 woman (living at college) and my neighbor at home is a 15 yr old boy and he got to talking to me about stuff, he calls quite a bit and that's fine, he doesn't really have people to talk to a lot because he's very popular in the high school so he has to maintain an image or whatever, you know how high school is, so he can't really open up to anybody. Anyway he calls me about stuff and I give advice whatever, he treats me like I'm his mom or something (his own mom was never in the picture really) so anyway his dad got re-married last spring and he was fine with the stepmom at first but after a while he started changing and he was calling late at night really upset. Finally he told me why, he said his stepmom's been coming in his room at night and doing stuff with him, I won't be graphic but you can probably figure it out. So I called CPS and they ended up dropping the case, and his dad thinks he was lying, but I know he's not. He's been able to keep his stepmom out of his room and is staying weekends with his aunt and uncle, but it just sucks that he has to go thru this and he's got a lot of trust issues now. Sorry to be so long but you kinda had to know the backstory in order to answer my question, which is how can I help him thru this, what do I say to him? All I've told him so far is that I believe him and I don't think it was his fault.

Maybe you could explain the situation to the father. He might start wondering why his son is telling you this. You could explain that he has no one else. It will mean a lot to him that you backed him up and supported him in this. Just keep supporting him, help him with where to go with this and if he wants to confront his father, that youll go with him if he wants. Also you should definately think about talking with a professional councellor because you cant make him better, he needs someone that knows there stuff really good. I hope this helps.

why don't you pass notes to him one day to tell him that you like him. cuz if he's popular or cute no one will care vary much. or you can get a friend to tell him to meet you after scool or even to tell him that you like him. don't be scared. if you mess up every one will forget about it in a week or two.
