Yeah, after 3 years of not seeing him, my dad got arrested and I went to see him in prison. When he saw me & my sisters, he was so suprised. He said that he wanted to get back into our lives, and i'm cool with that. But, I'm worried that he will break my sisters' hearts by leaving again. I don't want that. I guess the question is, is it a good idea to give him a second chance, after he left once? (link)

Second chances are a good thing but you should most definitely be cautious. I have been in a similar situation so I can understand your dilemma. It's hard to keep a parent out of a child's life though. Some people can change. Hopefully your father is one of them.
