Q: I have been pulling out my eyebrows for over a year now, non stop. It's everyday. Beforehand I feel a certain tension(anxiety), it gets overwheliming especially when I am stressed out. Sometimes I pull for no reason while watching tv or such and then in the middle Ill catch myself doing it. So I stop for a few minutes then find my hand traveling back up to pull again. It's so pleasurable to feel the hair be pulled from my brow area. But now since it has been a year I am really wanting help with this, it looks horrible. I can't stop, it is just like cutting its a release of tension and helps me feel better at the moment. But now if I try to let them grow they grow all scattered out and are very course feeling which makes me want to pull at them even more because I cannot stand the prickly hairs. And when I do pull them out they have black roots and are very oily at the roots, I am afraid I have permantely damaged the folicle. what are some ways to help them grow back faster and better looking?

ok the same exact thing happened to me, it was like I couldn't stop and I was in like a trace or something when i did it. It took alot of effot to stop. Most of the time I ended up doing it when I was in bed or watching t.v. because there was nothing for my hands to do, so they started plucking. Try doing things with your hands like knitting, or cats cradle or holding something like a rock or the remote control, if your hands are busy your less likley to pluck. Also, if you leave the hairs along they won't be prickly anymore. In the meantime use an eyerbrow pencil that matches the shade of your eyebrows to fill in the gaps. If you find that you still plucking, see a doctor and see what he suggests.

it sounds to me like you have too much stuff, cut back on the things that you don't really need or that you never use, then organize the things that you find important into different areas in your room, that way there should be less mess.

Q: hey so im going out with a really hot guy who is really nice and loves me a lot. he calls me like 50 timeseveryday, and i can trust him with anything. one problem... hes not the guy i truely like. usually, i would break up with him in hopes of going out with the other guy, but this time is different. you see, the guy i really truely like isnt that cute and hes never had a girlfriend before. me and him are really good friends, have most of our classes together, and play soccer at the same club. i know he probably wouldnt go out with me until highschool (im in 7th grade) but i feel guilty going out withy a guy i dont really like. what should i do?

It is probably best if you break up with this guy. Going out with him and not really liking him like that is just leading him on. And if you start going out with the other guy, don't worry about his looks. If you truly love him, you should be able to look past that and others should too. -Caroline
