Those ads are mostly scams that clog your computer with spyware and put your e-mail on hundreds of spam lists. If you find that you need to remove spyware, go to download.com and get Spybot - Search and Destory 1.2 or go to thefreesite.com and get Ad-Aware 6.0. Both are free and help a lot.
