Can anyone tell me if surfing is hard or easy or anything? I mean, it looks totally awesome! I lived in Hawaii for 5 and a half years, but that was when I was in, like, 1st grade. Well, I moved to CA in the middle of 1st grade. Please tell me if it is hard or easy. I really want to know!

Thanx! (link)
If it comes naturally to you, its easier, but still frustrating to learn. Its really hard at first, but once you get the hang of it, its awesome, and its something you can always do after you've learned. (like riding a bike)

Hey. I'm 14/f and just got into surfing. I don't have a board though cuz i usually just use my friends. well now i wanna buy one but i don't know how long it should be. im a beginner and 5'9. also is there any places you know where i can buy em kinda cheap? thanx! i rate!! (link)
hey

im a big surfer girl and have been surfing for three years now

for a beginner, i would sugest anywhere from 7'0 to 7'6. As for price range, if you buying from a shop, it reallydepends on where you live. If your living on the coast, the surfboards are going to be a lot more expensive, an if you live on the coast a bit cheaper and you might even get a discount, depending on how close you get to the staff while looking for your board.

really good beginner brands are BIC,

nsp ( new suf porject)

and blue
The blue boards are glass and foam and require a bit more matinance because they are more fragile, but they are moch lighter, have better bouyancy, and after you use it for a long time, they even star to kind of mold to your feet.

the other two boards i suggested are made from pvc and are pretty much indistructable.

this was my first board and it turned out great for me.(if you get one though,i suggest going to your local shop and asking about matenance and loading and stuff0
