I think it really depends on your age. When I was younger...like...13...I bought thongs with my friends and they all said "Don't tell your parents" But the second I got in the car I told my mom. I thought she would be mad but she wasn't at all. So I think it really does depend on your age.
When one of my friends said (and her parents are the strictest you'll ever meet) that she doesn't want to have an underwear line on her pants. It's true....and embarassing.

...Gag reflex...lol. Again...you'll get used to it pretty quickly. I have a gag reflex...FUN! Especially at the dentists office. =\ lol
As far as the sex thing goes, I think it all depends on your age...and if you're really serious about it and he loves you back, then hopefully he won't have a problem with it. You could either talk to him or...as you said...just wait until it happens. Or do both. I think that's the best way. Talk about it and see if you both agree that you're ready and just let it...happen. Be sure to use protection though! ^.^
