Lately, my eyelids have been red and chapped. Does anyone know what could have caused this and how i can treat/prevent this? Thanks. (link)

re:And to prevent it make sure to put sunscreen on your eye lids!
All of my sunscreens contain warnings to keep the product away from your eyes. Last week Sunday I spent several hours in the afternoon sun. I applied a high-SPF, broad spectrum sunblock everywhere but my eyelids (including my ears and my scalp along the part in my hair). I wear prescription sunglasses and I shaded my eyes with my hand as much as possible (no hat). Somehow the sun got around my glasses and burned my eyelids. I've been using Aquaphor to keep the area moisturized but 10 days later, my lids are still bright red and the swelling has not noticeably gone down. It's been a long time since I've gotten a sunburn (and never on my eyelids before) so I don't remember how long it usually takes to heal.
I'll try the aloe & the tea bags to see if that helps. Can anyone recommend a sunblock that is safe for use in the eye area? I never want to go through this again!
