i am like madly in love with my best friend. we've been friends for about 5 1/2 years. he's the coolest person ever and he is so nice and so cute and just generally amazing. pretty much everyone says he likes me too but i'm sort of afraid to say anything or make the first move. and if something does happen, then im afraid to loose the great relationship that we already have. help? I've been in the same situation myself. I fell head over heels for my best friend and everyone, including my family, thought we would make the perfect couple. I just laughed and shrugged it off for a while, but I started to realize that I did have a crush on him. We used to be able to talk about our relationship problems and everything but after a while I started getting so jealous if he would even mention another girl's name. I finally came out and told him that I liked him in a more-than-friends way and after a while, he confessed the same to me. We talked a while and even kissed a few times, but it has gone no farther than that. We realized that for now, it's best to just be friends and we're still best friends. He's still number 1 to me and he always will be, no matter what kind of weird situation comes up. I think you should go for him and if you two decide that it's just too weird and it's not going to work, you will still be best friends. Good luck!

heyy! i wentout this this guy who was basicly my 1st real boyfriend..we broke up about a year ago, but though crushes and boyfriends have come and gone since then, i cant keep him off my mind! is it just a "1st love" kinda thing? i need help! (link)
I'm in the same situation right now myself. I still think about my ex every now and then, but I'm pretty much over him now. I really do think that it's a "1st love" kind of thing though. I'm slowly losing feelings for him the more and more I'm away from him. I think it's best for you to try to not think about him and avoid communication with him because soon enough you'll find someone else and even though you won't entirely forget about your ex, things will get better for you and you'll start to miss him less and less.
