When I was ill recently, I really relied on my partner, and he was wonderful at looking after me. I've told him how thankful I am and how much it meant to me, but I'd really like to show how grateful I am and am really stuck for what would be appropriate. Would a card or gift be tacky/inappropriate? I saw a book I know he'd enjoy, but it doesn't feel quite the right way to say 'thanks' for all that he's done.
Basically, I'm just looking for opinions - should I get him a small token like the book, or is it more appropriate to just talk to him about it as I have been doing? (link)

I have and idea you could try and would not be expensive at all. Buy a bag of hershy kisses. Then, pick a number that means something to your relationship, his favorite number, the amount of days you have been together, the number of days he took care of you while you were sick, something along those lines. Then, give a reason with each kiss on how much you care about him or a memory you will never forget. For example one kiss could say : "Thanking you for all the wonderful times we've shared, when it seemed that just one thank wasn't enough."

i dont no wat else to do im so confused i cry everyday and i lik hate who i am i dont no wat to so.. i like so amny guys but they dont lik me bac and im not an ugly person..theses this one guy that i lik so much and my friend likes him and he likes her to and our graduation is cumming up soon and he said that he would kiss me but i no he wont but my friend said she would kiss him and if they kiss my life will be ruined and i wont no wat to do i cry so much cuz i dont no wat to do its just so hard for me it really is and no one nose and if they kiss i wont no wat to do i cant let them do that. i mean i want my friend to be happy but if they kiss i really cry and never want to talk to them again i just cant bear thinkin that they might kiss i dont no wat to do help pllz (link)

Listen, you're still young and you should have fun while you still have your youth. You only live once and do you really want to waste your life away on a silly relationship? Another thing is that friends will be there for you at anytime you need them and a boy will be there for awhile and then be gone. Stick to your friends like glue because when you loose them, your never going to get them back. This may seem like the end of the world to you, but everything happens for a reason. In life, don't stress over the little things.

Love doesn't have a simple definition. Love is an action that is showed each day, therefore it is not only a word. You can love your parents, I love my parents, but true love is simply an unexplainable action. Love in first sight, yes I believe in it, but not the way it is described in fairytales. I fell in love with a guy who used to be my best friend, I fell in love with his smile the first I time I made him laugh. Love is the word to describe the way you feel when butterflies just won't seem to leave your stomach when your just looking at this one guy. Love is the dreams you have of him/her at night, that when you wake up, you feel as if your on the top of the world. You simply are torn apart when you have a dissagreement. That's love..

OK, I've been dating this guy for about a month or so ...and a few of my friends think he just wants sex and im not quite sure either....One time he asked me to have sex one night but i said no. we've hung out since then and he tried to get me to give him head and stuff but i didnt and we still hang out and whatever but he hasnt asked me to be his girlfriend or anything yet so thats why im unsure nor even have we talked about it . all our phone conversations are pretty short and just consist of making plans and whats up how r u n stuff along those lines however we do talk once in a while for like 15 minutes....so my ? is do u think he just wants sex? and anyways to find out besides talking to him about it (link)

If a guy thinks your worth his time, then he'll let you know, most likely by asking you to be his girlfriend. Also, by not talking about this subject you're making it sound like it is ok for this to happen when you really feel uncomfortable. Communication is key in order for a relationship to work, so no more hiding feelings and be mature about it. He can't be too shy to talk about it if he has asked you for head and sex. Wouldn't you like to experience these things with a person you love and trust?

i hate liars and my boyfrined lies constantly.. not so much to me.. but sometimes to me.. i cant always tell if hes telling the truth.. i guess sometimes his lies are for my benefit? we also really like eachother.. what should i do (link)

Well, personally I would tell your guy straight out that this has got to stop. First of all, a relationship is based on trust, and if you really mean something to him then he should stop. A guy who lies has something to fear, that is why he would be lying in the first place. Maybe he's worried that you will get mad or maybe its just a bad habit. I get offensive on topics like this because the last boyfriend broke my heart from his lying. I never knew he got so close to my best friend and still to this day have not heard about the secret relationship they had. But bottom line, lying means trouble. I'm not saying start screaming and cause a big fight. Maybe you could suggest a quiet romantic dinner where this slips into conversation that you don't feel comfortable when you find the truth to a lie.
