I want to try out for my highschools cheerleading squad.. Ive cheered b4 but i heard that high school tryout are harder. if u tried out for you high schools cheerleading squad, what did you have to do? (link)
Every School is different when it comes to sports. For my school, i had to learn a dance that they taught to every person trying-out. (We had practices before the try-outs.)

Dance: Make sure that your motions are really sharp. so sharp that your arms hurt. Count in you head so that you dont get off count

Jumps: stretch alot a while b4 your try-outs, so that your legs are at the most flexability point. POINT YOUR TOES and land on your toes! the judges will look for the small things as well as the big things.
*I found out for jumps like the toe touch, look at high up and stare at that point this will make your jumps look higher.*

Cheer: Again, make sure that your motions are tight. BE LOUD. Some coaches want their girls to yell in a deep voice and other coaches want you to sound like a girl, so try to find out how they want you to sound like.

Tumbling: If your school has any tumbling requirements, make sure that when you o tumble it isnt sloppy looking.

Stunting: if your basing, keep your back straight. flying keep everything locked legs, squeeze your butt, dont look down look straight out.

-SMILE-make it look like you are having fun

-make sure you have your hair up at try-outs

-SMILE-look like your having fun
