I'm 19 and a female and my boyfriend just broke up with me about a week ago and we were together for a year and 3 months and he was telling me that the reason he was breaking up with me is because he's not ready for a serious relationship. What does it mean when a guy tells you this and why would he wait over a year to say this also? I am completely in love with him and he told me so many times how much he loves me but when he broke up with me he said that he doesn't think he's in love with me, but he cares for me and has feelings for me but just not ones to keep the relationship going! Why would it take him over a year to feel like this? Everyone's telling me i have to move on, but I can't it's so hard, I love him so much and he is the only guy that I want to be with, and he always made it seem that way with me, he told me that once we both have enough money that he wants us to get our own place together, and he said that about a month before breaking up with me! Why would he be doing all of this, and then just break up with me out of no where? I thought we were so happy together because he never acted like he didn't want to be with me. He did say that he wants us to be friends, and I told him I would try but I don't want to be just friends with him, I want to be with him!
