Okay, so I cheer. I believe it's a sport. What is your take. I do not see why people believe it's not. Like honestly, we throw people in the hair, flip around, etc. And we recieve no credit. I would like to know what people think, and why they think it. Please support your anwser: I will rate based on how well you support yourself. (link)
Cheerleading is a sport! I play softball, basketball, and tennis as well. I'd have to say that in the athletic parts of cheerleading, it is one of the toughest sports. Studies have proven that you are more likely to get hurt in cheerleading than football... You gotta go with the old saying:

Athletes lift weights, Cheerleaders lift people..

BUT, that is wrong as well. Cheerleaders are athletes! So, it is questionable among different people!!!

15f. I can do a back bend from a standing positiong. I want to be able to kick over and build muscle for backhandsprings too. Any one have good advice for this? (link)
Hey!!! I'm 13 and i have a layout so i might be able to help a little on this subject. When i wanted a backhandspring, i was told to work on a back bend kick over as well. A very easy drill is to lay on your bed on your back. Then reach your arms above your head so your hands are on the ground. (It is alot like a backbend with your legs flat.) Then push your legs up so you are in a back bend. Your feet should be on the bed and your hands on the floor. Then push your self off and kick over! MAKE SURE YOU KEEP YOUR ARMS LOCKED!!! But even if you do crash and burn, it doesn't hurt!!! :-)

Hope I've been helpful!
