My grandpa has it too. I know that that part of it is hard to deal with....and falling down the stairs seems worse.YIKES!
a comca is where oyur body just sort of shuts down and goes to sleep for an amount of time that is never really known. it kind of just depends on if he wakes up or not and if he does things are definitly looking better.

My best friend and I were going to go to the same college next year since we both got in and it's a good school (UT). Well I was talking to his mom today and college came up and she said that she was sorry that we wouldn't be able to go to the same school. I asked her what she was talking about because the plan was that both of us would go to UT. Well, it turns out that he had changed his mind a few weeks and go and now wants to go to Tx State.
This really upset me becuase I don't know why he didn't tell me about it. I'm not mad that he doesn't want to go to UT. If he thinks Tx State would be a better school for him and he really wants to go there then fine. But why not atleast share that info with me?
I can't believe I had to find out from his mom in a random conversation I had with her. Why do you think he didn't tell me? Should I ask him about it or wait until her brings it up (IF he brings it up)? (link)
