We have a version of American Idol going on at our school. Only 8 people can be chosen out of the many that have auditioned, and i was one of them. One of my friends, who has an incredible voice, was also chosen, but she came in last place to compete..and she tied with someone else. The only way she could compete was if she sang with someone else as a duet or the other girl dropped out. The head of the competition told my friend this, and they both asked me to sing with her, but they didn't give me any time to think about it so i just said yes,but i sort of regret it because i had my songs already planned out and last year i was in it and got a great reputation as "that girl who can sing and dance" which i like a lot, and i'm afraid that if i sing with her, that might change, or we might not do as well as i would have hoped for...when i sing by myself, i get all eyes on me and i love to own the stage, and no i'm not self-absorbed, its just that i'd rather sing by myself. I couldn't say no because that would just be letting my friend down, but i really wish that i could sing by myself instead of a duet..i'm not sure what to do..please help. Thanx! (link)

i think that you should definetly ask whoever is the head of this whole show that you do not want to do this anymore, i mean you are probably a really good singer and could go really far, you are obviously a solo artist so no one should be taking away pieces of your fame, even a friend, if you friend is a friend then she will understand that your decision isnt personal and has nothing to do with her, you jus want to have and be known as having a solo career.

What would you say if one or both of your parents confronted you about your best friend and said that they don't want you to hang around him/her because they are a bad influence? Obviously, you would get mad (as I did) Then, to take it a step farther, they ordered me to stay away from that person and told me to focus on the friends that they like. Is there any positive way to deal with this without over-dramatizing and fighting OR without giving in my freedom and submitting to my overprotective parents? Thanks... (link)

well, if your parents are this overprotective, you need to talk to them and tell them that you are a person too that needs to make decisions and mistakes to learn on your own, if you want to be friends with some ppl and not others thats your decision not theres yuo cant force who you like and not like...i would say that you shouldnt give into what they are telling you becuz you have to learn things for yourself, if they are this overprotective tho then it may get overdramatized becuz they are already overdramatisizing the situation, but some times you go thru fighting and eventually reach common ground, but try to keep the peace, hope i helped you!

well..how bad is your acne? if it is very bad, you may consider going to a gynocolegist, but usually those dont help much, you should probably try getting a facial with extractions, thats whenever well the facial part is very relaxing it exfoliates your face and its a face massage and the extractions are the only bad part, but thats what makes the acne go away, but its when the facialist picks all your pimples and whiteheads, blackheads, soon to be pimples, everything, the totally clear everything out of your pores, and dont worry it does not scar your face or anything but it is a little painful but totally worth it and the relaxing facial before it makes it not so bad becuz you are comfortable, then after she does the extractions they like run this thing over your face i totally forget what its called but it helps you face heal back faster and in a few days your face is totally clear! but as far as a day wash, you should get proactiv, you have to order it but it comes with a wash, exfoliating liquid, lotion, and mask, you can also get other things, other than that im not sure if clearasil and stridex dont work, maybe try neutrogena? also you can get a face wash that works well from the hospital..if you need any more advice about this or anything jus ask! hope i helped you!

A brazilian wax is when you get you whole bikini area waxed, not jus bikini line, you get it ALL off..you can judge on how much thats gonna hurt. You can get it done at almost any waxing place, salon, spa, etc. hope i helped you!

well, you should do something really special like take her to a cool place in your town, dont try too hard tho jus hang out and do something thats not completely boring but not something totally planned, but you have to think of what to do cuz she will have almost no idea, ask her if shes hungry n what she likes to do etc. then later on jus hang out with her at your house or soemthing and watch movies and have fun! hope i helped ;)

hm..well it depends on how long it has been since you two have talked to each other, if its been 3-4 weeks, he has probably moved on or just been really busy with moving, but if it has only been like a week or so, it may just be because hes really busy packing, but im not sure why he wouldnt call n tell you that hes moving i mean thats kinda big news even tho its not far, but still..if its only been a week or a lil more than a week since he has called, wait it out a lil longer, if its been 3 weeks or more try n talk to him like online or something or you might think about calling but not to ask him if he still likes you, jus see what he says about not calling and about not telling you that hes moving, if he acts like your buggin him, drop him, but if he still seems like hes interested in you, then he better have a damn good excuse for not calling you and telling you that hes moving..well hope ive helped you! but i thought that you had a bf??

whaaaat? no one stares at you because you are asian, you are just another person in this world. people arent usually considered "exotic" unless they have lived in another country their whole lives and they have that culture and then ppl see them from here and they are like whoa exotic. but i doubt people care whether you are asian or not especially since you are still american.

well..its up to you to decide this not your mother, if its what you want to do then do it, but then if youve really had an interest in ceramics then you should stick with that, who knows, you could be a really great artist. Also, taking two languages at the same time will probably be very difficult, most ppl dont do that until at least their junior year, and also do you want to have to deal with Dr. Sella? lol, but only take Latin if you are interested in it and want to take it, or if it will actually benefit you in the future like with what you want to become, otherwise theres really not much point!
