I've been in a situation like yours. I play the harp, and after a few years I hated it. I despised practicing, thought my lessons were awful, and would do anything to avoid the harp.
I changed teachers, and I am so glad I kept up with my music- now I make $250 an hour playing for weddings, and I got a college scholarship!
Why don't you try switching teachers, and if that doesn't work, see if you can keep practicing and working on new music without a teacher. When you're older you will be so thankful that you didn't stop playing, so don't give up!
