What are collage level vocabulery words i can use in essay about renaissance humanism?
(link)
|
You can comment that humanism was the "zeitgeist" of the Renaissance. Zeitgeist means the spirit of the age. Other than that I'm not sure how to help you.
Remember, if you use words you don't understand, it's more likely you'll come across confused rather than intelligent. Just a thought..

For a research paper I'm doing, Who are you voting for and why? (if your not old enought to vote but would if you could- same question applies)
My example:
I am choosing Mccain. He represents almost everything I stand for. I think Sarah Palin would be a great vice too. She believes abortions shouldnt be done so freely without a good reason (mothers life in jeoperady, incest..etc) Also, Obama was quoted saying "The war in Iraq was a mistake" saying that, I feel was disrespectful to everyone who has faught and died in freedom's honor.
Thanks to everyone who helps!! (link)

I am supporting Barack Obama for President of the United States because in the view of a fellow American, I believe he underscores everything our country can become. He bipartisan mindset is telling of his ability to make unbiased decisions. He understands that a woman should have the right to choose what to do with her body, and comprehends the idea that abortion is not something people take lightly. Barack Obama is able to purge politics of the same old tactics that have landed us in astounding debt, uncalled for warfare, a sinking economy, and a bad stance with other countries. John McCain and Sarah Palin reject the idea of embryonic stem cell research, and decide that abortion would only be used if the mother's life were in danger. Most importantly, I am opposed to McCain and Palin because they are not representative of the U.S. as a whole as they intend to remove certain American rights to accommodate their own Christian values. McCain has voted with President George Bush 90%+ of the time. Enough said.
P.S. I'm vehemently against the war. My cousin is over there at the moment, and he also opposes it. We don't support the war, but I find it mildly laughable that someone could say that I don't appreciate what my cousin and everyone does. I am grateful for their service, and ungrateful for the idiots who put us in an aimless war.

are bare minerals make up a good make up to covver your ugly facE? i meant MY UGLY FAC like i have lots of blemishes and ugly dark spots.
can this cover it? (link)
|
Bare Minerals is a good makeup company. I have the foundation, but there are a few bad things about the makeup. First off, it's pricey for the amount you're getting.
I have clear skin, but wanted to even out my skin to get a flawless finish. Although it did that, I'm having a hard time believing that it could actually cover up tough blemishes. You'd have to use a reallllly good amount. So much in fact that you'd go through the foundation really quickly.
I've heard some horror stories from people with sensitive skin. Two of the ingredients broke people out pretty badly. That'd just be a risk you'd have to take.
I also have a foundation called Everyday Minerals. It's less expensive, and doesn't contain some of the harsher ingredients. There are different formulas for different levels of coverage. I've only tried the light coverage type, but it covered just as well as the bare minerals without it feeling thick like bare minerals. Perhaps the best part is that you can get FREE samples so you can find the right shade and formula for you. I believe you also get a blush and a face finisher similar to a mineral veil, although I like the mineral veil from bare minerals better. I'd recommend using a flat top kabuki brush for application because it gives more coverage than a rounded one for mineral foundation.
everydayminerals.com
BUT. After all of that I'd recommend a MAC brand liquid foundation and powder if you need coverage. Trust me it works wonders. Particularly their studio fix foundation which has a matte finish. The company is very pricey. But their foundations have worked better on my friend who has bad acne than any other brand has. I'd say your best bet is to use a skunk brush for their foundation application because it's the easiest brush to learn with, and gives you a build-able coverage so that you don't over do it. All you need is a very very small amount so that foundation will last you a long time.

and

and their studio concealer is the BEST out there for blemishes. hands down. I wouldn't use it for under-eye concealing though as it is a bit thick for such a sensitive part of your face.

MAC is truly a great company. I'd definitely look into their stuff.

this year my schools doing guys and dolls for a musical! i'm wicked excited, but really nervous for auditions! i've done some research on it but i'm not sure what song i should use for an audition. i've looked online, but i can't find all the songs involving a girl singing. so i was wondering, what are some good songs to sing for a girl auditioning from this musical?(i'm trying to go for a lead)i can sing both alto and soprano, so either one is fine. thank you so much :} (link)
|
I directed this play. It was super cute. Sing a Bushel and a Peck with a strong voice, and a cutsie accent. It's a song that brings out your personality, shows off your voice, and is easy enough to pull off if you want the lead.
good luck

Today was my first day of high school as a freshman. And almost anything that could go wrong did.
My locker wouldn't open and there was no one in the office so I could get it fixed. I got lost at least 4 times. And I only sat with one friend [[the whole table was empty except us two]] at lunch cuz my 'bff' said I couldn't sit with her cuz her table was full.
Is there anything I can do to make my second day and the dayss to come any better? (link)
|
Don't worry. My first day of school was less than glamorous. You'll get your footing quickly as far as your classes go. Within a couple days or so. Be confident, and sit at a new table, or ask your friend to sit with you in advance so the table isn't full.
If your locker completely sucks, ask to transfer to a new one or "set" your locker to the last number for quicker opening.
Talk to a new person, and give a compliment to them.

what are some things that i can expect in high school? (link)
|
High school is a lot different than middle school. Expect people to talk about sex frequently and openly. I never thought I'd be in a situation where people do drugs and drink. This year I was, and I learned that it's easy to fall into those types of things. Expect people to be friendly at first. You'll be able o sort out the fakes easily. You'll hear a lot more gossip, just try not to engage in it. Personally, I thought it was a lot easier to stay out of things in high school. More frequent parties. Expect to grow apart from some of your friends. Expect more homework, stricter teacher, less fooling around, and more stress.
Basically, these were minor things. They sound sort of big on paper, but you learn to deal with it. I think high school is about rolling with the punches, but staying strong in what you want to do and what you don't. High school freshman year is a big growing year.

hey, I am an author doing research. So how many of you have younger brothers and sisters and what do they read? All ages welcomed including yours.

Hi.
I've got insight from a couple point of views.
When I was little in about first and second grade, i ADORED the Boxcar children book series by Gertrude Chandler Warner. I read a ton of the books. I also read Judy Blume (sp?) books.
From 2nd grade until recently I read the Harry Potter book series. I felt like the books grew with me if that makes sense at all. A series for all ages, I guess.
I read Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing, How to Eat Fried Worms, Holes, Hariette the Spy in fourth grade until...fifth grade I guess.
I started reading the Series of Unfortunate events by lemony snicket in fifth grade until now (11th grade)
My little cousins read a lot.
My cousin going into 6th grades likes the author Lauren Myracle and her books.
My cousin going into the fourth grade likes Jerry Spinelli books. I also liked some of his books. I think he writes for a lot of age levels...

Does anyone know a good coverup that will hide a pretty big/dark birthmark that I have on my neck. I've tried several basic coverups and they've made it less noticeable.. but barely. I really want a good coverup to completely hide it (or come close) because I'm really self conscious of it and I just want it gone.. (link)

okay so im getting my hair cut in a few days, and my hairdresser is really nice and she comes to my house and does it for me. so im getting a new style, i have long hair that reaches to like the middle of my back and its brown with some natural blonde highlights. so right now i just have a normal cut, no bangs or anything, just like straight, with a few lays. ive decided that i really want side bangs. i want them to be long like over my eyes, and when she come to cut my hair i always give her a picture of someone i find on the internet with the hair cut. so ive been searching for a picture, but the ones ones i can find are of all these emo/goth girls, and im a big prep, so if i give her that picture, or like show it to my mom, they will think im so wierd! so i cant give them a pic of one of them. so i really really need a picture of someone that doesnt look emo or anything with that hair cut. thanks in advance :) (link)

has anyone ever used that "sun in" stuff or whatever its called you spray it on your hair and it supposively makes it lighter if you go and lay out in the sun, i was wondering if it works or not? cause i've heard it makes your hair look orangey, just wondering if anyones had any luck with it because i wanna try it.
THANKS :) (link)
|
I wouldn't recommend using this product at all. If you have black, dark brown, or even medium brown hair do NOT use this as you will absolutely have orange hair by the end. The product is drying, gives off uneven color, and will leave your hair fragile and damaged. My mom used it when she was younger and achieved a very light blonde affect, but honestly there were so many uneven tones to it.
If you have lighter brown hair, one or two pumps and stepping out in the sun for a little bit to achieve a highlight-like lightness won't hurt, but I wouldn't use it more than that.

does this brush really smell? (link)

if it does, a good wash with shampoo and conditioner will fix that right up. not a huge deal if it comes and it smells a bit.

how much did yo pay for your sedu?
and where did you buy it?
if at folica, how much was shipping?
thankks (link)
|
i think you can ship it back if you don't like it, but it's the best straightener I've tried so i highly doubt you'll have to.
|
does chi straightener really break? I have read some reviews about it that it doesnt turn on all of a sudden and they waste their money on it every year by buying new ones.
if ever mine breaks, is there any way i can get a new one for free or lie get a refund?
ALSO TELL ME YOUR EXPERIENCES WITH THE ORIGINAL CHI STRAIGHTENER.
there are 5 diff types of chi flat irons.
http://hubpages.com/hub/Chi_Flat_Iron
tell me which is the best also.
thanks.. (link)
|
I've heard a lot of stories of it breaking. I got one for my friend for her birthday and a month later it stopped turning on. I believe the company issued a statement that there were a few kinks to work out.
Most likely if you buy a straightener it depends on the place whether or not you can get your money back if this happens.
the original is a good iron. but this got the best reviews :
http://www.folica.com/CHI_Ceramic_Tur_d4283.html
right now, i have the sedu which has been banged around a million times and never has broken. I've had it for 2+ years.
folica.com has pictures of people before and after using the sedu. it works wonder if you ask me!
|
Ok, so I have an AMAZING straightener that works great...as long as I stay inside my house! I'll get my hair perfect and then right when I walk outside it goes curly! It's so frusterating because I've even tried hairspray, which I hate to use, and it still curls! I don't usually use any products other than just shampoo and conditioner. Please help! I want something that will make my hair straight throughout the day but won't make it stiff! THANK YOU!!!! (link)
|
Matrix's sleek look conditioner and biolage's hydrating shampoo work great if you straighten your hair a lot. If you blow dry your hair, take a blow dryer on a cool setting and go through your hair to seal the job. Same after straightening. if your hair is hot or not completely dry, it WILL curl up
