I'm a junior in high school and I like a sophomore. We've been friends for a while now. He's very shy and awkward. I recently told him I liked him and he said he liked his ex still. Things were fine between us, then I asked him to go to prom with me and he said yes. I asked him if he wanted to go just as friends. He talks to me a lot and tries to flirt with me.
