I really really REALLY want to get my ears pierced. However, is it a problem that I've had them like....5 times before. Would they get really infected if I got them again? I also wanted to know if getting a piercing below the cartilage hurts. If I get it there, will it hurt?

Please help me!!!

I've had mine pierced six times, and infected five times. I don't know what persuaded me to pierce it yet again, when the past five times hurt so much. It was done against reason, against common sense, but it worked.

Just listen to your ear. ^^ After doing some research, I concluded that I ought to:
1. drink 8 cups of water a day. Water has many functions in your body, and I am sure that one of them is healing? Lol.

2. eat one or two oranges per day (and/or other fruits... oranges worked for me). "Vitamin C is required for the growth and repair of tissues in all parts of your body." http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/002404.htm
It also aids with the healing of wounds, which is what an ear piercing is, and helps your body to fight infections.

3. exercise a lil each day - go for a walk

4. spray on earcare - I did this 4 times per day

This will hopefully max your health, max healing time and thus min chances of infections. Just do everything you can to minimize the chances of infection - the key is determination.
