I am looking for a breed of dog (mixed is fine) that is especially good for children, and it would be great if it did not shed much. Thanks for any suggestions! (link)

I have 4 SHIH TZU's they are amazing dogs. They do not shed and are wonderful with children. They are smart, even tempered, and amazingly sweet. Also, they are not yappy and not high maintenence. I recommend them with all my heart. Look in your local paper. Find a persona breeder and go visiting. Make sure you play with the puppy and then stop and see if the puppy calms right down. Thats the one for you.
