How do you tell your best friend that your in love with them? How do you explain your feelings so that your friendship isnt ruined?
I was in love with my best friend and still am. I told him through a letter since i'm bad at saying them out loud specially face to face. Yet, it still all about time and if your ready to say the truth to him and hoping what the naswer would be. the answer can go both ways no matter how you dream or put it. If you're willing to say it to him, then take him to a private place and talk about it and if he doesn't feel the same way then you guys can move past it with time but you have to get through the awkward faze too. when i did, he said no. we discussed and got through it but its obvious that something between us shifted and it's going to take time to be just friends again.
Its just the risk of it all if you're are willing to take that leap

My best friend of 15 years. 10 years ago I fell in love with him. 5 years ago we started having sex but he never wanted a gf. Now that we are both sleeping together each weekend but don't live together. He pisses me off by not wanting to spend time with me except for sex. He's always busy doing things. I want us to be bf/gf but he's thinking friends with benefits. Should I just break it off altogether and not even be friends with him anymore? It tears me up inside thinking about him all the time. what to do?
I know this might be hard but i think/know is better to break this off now and probably cut the relationship of being friends with each other. both of you guys agreed to go into this 'friends with benefit' thing but its clear you went in hoping it will change things for the better. Going after someone who clearly doesn't want the same thing as you and told you first hand what he wanted only sex and nothing more. so you're still hanging around him giving exactly what he wanted and nothing more, you're just an object and not a friend per say. the lines has been crossed and its clear it has been dissolved from the start.
it might be hard but you'll find someone better and who will love you from the start. not someone who doesn't acknowledge the love between you
